About the Profile HA1040
Profile's Baja amplifiers combine quality design and features into an economical package that puts power and control at your command. The Baja HA1040 4-channel amp delivers 80 watts RMS by four channels, or 225 watts RMS per channel when bridged to 2-channel operation plenty of juice for powering your system.
Profile designed the HA1040 to power full-range speakers in the front of your car while running a sub at the same time. The built-in variable high- and low-pass filters allow you to tailor the output for your system's particular requirements. You'll also find a selectable bass boost for the rear channels and treble boost for the front channels.
Preamp-level inputs allow easy hookup to aftermarket receivers. There's even a set of preamp outputs to relay the signal to another amp in your system.

Inputs and Outputs Notes
Protection Circuits: This amp has three types of protection circuits: DC offset, short circuit, and thermal protection. The Power/Protection LED on the left side of the amplifier will glow red to indicate that the amplifier has gone into protection.
High-pass Filter: Channels 1 and 2 have a high-pass filter. The high-pass filter can be adjusted from 80 Hz to 1.2 kHz and has a slope of 12 dB per octave. The high-pass filter can be turned on or off.
Low-pass Filter: Channels 3 and 4 have a low-pass filter. The low-pass filter can be adjusted from 50 to 250 Hz and has a slope of 12 dB per octave. The low-pass filter can be turned on or off.
Treble Boost: For added high frequency performance, Channels 1 and 2 have a selectable treble boost centered at 8 kHz. The boost can be set to 0, 6, or 12 dB.
Bass Boost: For added low frequency performance, Channels 3 and 4 have a selectable bass boost centered at 45 Hz. The boost can be set to 0, 6, or 12 dB.
Line Outputs: The amp includes a pair of RCA line outputs for sending an unfiltered signal to another amplifier or component without splitting the signal.
Gold-plated Terminals: The HA1040 features gold-plated speaker and power terminals and RCA jacks for maximum signal transfer and corrosion resistance.
Set Screw Terminals: The power, ground, remote turn-on, and speaker output connections feature set-screw terminals. The power and ground terminals are 0.431" wide, while the remote turn-on and speaker terminals are 0.311" wide.
Remote Turn-on: In addition to turning on and turning off the amplifier via the head unit's remote output, the remote turn-on also operates the reset circuit for the amplifier's protection system. The remote turn-on lead must be connected to the head unit in order to reset the protection circuits.

Great Amp! Great Quality! Powers up 2 kicker 12 inch subs with no distortion. Even when the subs are turned all the way down it's still very loud. For the price profile amps are worth it, they last the longest and sound the best!
