Features
Overview: The nextar Q4-01 is a vehicle and portable navigation device that utilizes GPS signals from satellites to calculate your precise location and compute details about your travel destination. Once the unit locates your position and movement, it can then overlay this information onto detailed integrated NAVTEQ maps to provide you with visual representation of your location and destination route. Because it requires no installation, you can transfer the unit from one vehicle to another.
Antenna: The portable navigation unit features an integrated multidirectional GPS antenna, adding to its slim design.
Built-in Maps: The Q4-01 comes preloaded with detailed maps and destinations of the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. You can travel throughout the US without downloading new data.
Touch Screen Display: The unit features a 4.3" touch screen display with easy to use menus, maps and icons. The display's brightness can be adjusted for easy night and day time viewing.
Memory Card Slot: The nextar Q4-01 features a memory card slot that will accept SD memory cards and play MP3, WMA, and JPEG files.
Turn-By-Turn Voice and Visual Guidance: The Q4-01 offers Turn-by-Turn visual guidance through its wide touch screen display and voice guidance via its built-in speaker.
Text to Speech: The Text to Speech (TTS) feature reads street names aloud during route guidance (in English only).
On-Screen Keypad: The unit's on-screen keypad allows you to manually enter specific data, addresses, etc into the nextar Q4-01.
Smart Search: To help you enter the destination correctly, once you start spelling a name (street, city, POI, etc) the Q4-01 highlights only the possible next letters based on the information it the database; not allowing misspellings. Once the database narrows the entry to a manageable number of possibilities, the keyboard is replaced by a list of options on the display.

- Turn by Turn: the map covers approximately 80% of the screen, an inset of the next turn covers the other 20%
