Features

Compatibility: The OEA-4 (model C4NN03) is a non-electronic interface that allows an aftermarket high-power stereo to integrate into select 1994-up Nissan and Infiniti vehicles with Bose premium factory systems. Please check the Crutchfield Vehicle Selector for compatibility for your vehicle.

Adjustment Gain Controls: Four rotary gain controls (front left, front right, rear left, rear right) are located recessed inside the adapter chassis. There is a small flat-blade screwdriver attached to the adapter's case, and its use is recommended. The controls are very fragile and sensitive, and a slight adjustment will change volume dramatically.

Harnesses: The adapter's input wires are approximately 5-1/2" long with bare ends. These splice to the new receiver's speaker output wires. The adapter's output wires are approximately 11" long and terminate into two white and black rectangular Molex plugs. There are 5 additional wires coming from one of the white/black plugs and 2 wires from the other white/black plug that should be spliced to the receiver's wiring harness. The Molex plug ends are molded to match with the factory wiring harnesses. Crimp caps are provided for wire splices.

I have a 2001 Nissan pathfinder. I bought this harness to bypass the Bose amp with the aftermarket radio and sub/amp. I made all the connection and adjusted the knobs on the bypass harness. Only the subwoofer is getting the sounds but the rest of the speakers do not have any audio sounds. What am I missing or need to do?

I used a Metra 70-7550 wiring harness to install a Kenwood DDX23BT into my 2006 Nissan Xterra w/ Rockford Fosgate stereo (the premium stereo). After wiring everything up and then rewiring looking for mistakes, I get a soft static sound out of the speakers when the unit is turned on (the connections/grounds are all solid). Would using the Scosche CNN03 probably cure my background static sound?

Take a look at the grounds again. The BLACK wire on this harness connected to the SHIELDS for the speaker wires and does not establish a solid ground. The factory BOSE in my 03 Altima establishes ground through the radio chassis and that's how these speaker shields find ground. Try attaching the BLACK wire in the harness to both your receiver and a CHASSIS ground of your own....may get your shields grounded properly and solve the issue.

Unfortunately that is the nature of the beast. I was an installer for Circuit city for a long time & this was always a problem. The only way to reduce the hiss is to turn the gains down on the Metra 70-7550. What is happening is when you put in your Kenwood the speaker outputs always have a little bit of a signal going to the speakers even if nothing is playing. The factory amp picks up this signal & amplifies it. Garbage in amplified garbage out. I had that problem with the Bose in My Maxima. If you turn those gains down a little then it should reduce your static.

Did you use electrical tape or the plastic cones with metal in them to clamp the wires inside

I have a 2002 Infiniti G20 with bose audio. I have been reading that I need to get a wire harness and a scosche slc4 to correctly connect with the factory amp. Could I use this instead of doing the line converter work myself?

Q
I installed a Pioneer FH-X520UI head unit in a 2003 Infiniti G35 and used this adapter. The vehicle has audio controls on the steering wheel ( I selected the appropriate package to keep those controls when selecting the products on Crutchfield's site), however when i installed everything properly, the steering wheel audio controls no longer work. Is this the correct harness?

Q
i have a 04 g35 with bose setup. i ran a clarion nx500 HU with the metra 70-7551 and the speakers all play but if i turn it up all the way it is nowhere as loud as it used to be with the factory head unit. will buying this solve my problem?
andrew  Apr 19, 2014

A
I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: We don't have the Metra 70-7551 listed as the harness for the 2004 G35 despite it being a harness for other Nissan and Infiniti vehicles. The Scosche CNN03 is the only adapter we have listed for that vehicle and will likely resolve the issue. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat.

I bought this harness 2 years ago so the warranty has expired. But the gain adjusting knob fell off one of them. I assume it's not a swap able piece so do I have to buy a new one?

Actually, i may be incorrect about connectors, its been a while since i did my install. it may come with connectors already installed. i think i may have cut those connectors off though, and re attached since i wanted to solder and heat shrink my connections.
garrett j  Dec 11, 2013
A
yes, it should. the picture shows it with connectors already connected on one side, but it doesnt come with those connectors, those will be whatever connectors you need to connect to the factory connectors behind your factory radio. you basically just wire it inline between the stereo output wires and your speaker wires on the harness adapter you purchase/have. I installed this adapter on my 2002 Infiniti QX4 with bose, and it works great, and was really simple to install. just a matter of wiring it inline between head unit and speakers. Just make sure you test it before tucking everything behind dash. there are little screws on adapter to adjust volume, i had to turn mine almost all the way up. Before adjusting the screws, i could have my head units volume on max, but speakers were not loud at all. It may be different for your G, so just tinker with it before sealing it all up.
