Q
can you use this to add bluetooth to an older system?

A
Dont think this will accept bluetooth. You need an eva or fiber optical source
ka ho  Apr 22, 2018
A
As far as I know, this is a wired remote that connects to the pxa-H800 DSP signal processor. The Bluetooth interface is a function of the head unit, not this remote or the signal processor.
john  Apr 22, 2018
A
You would still need an external Bluetooth module and controller. The PXA could accept the audio and push that back to the system, but it does not have Bluetooth itself.

Q
Can you adjust the crossovers, TA, and other PXA-H800 DSP settings using the RUX-C800? In other words it a replacement for using a laptop to tune the DSP? Also, is it still not compatible with Windows 7 64bit?

A
Yes you can make all adjustments from the controller. There is supposed to be a software update available, but I haven't updated mines yet, I'm using vista, I vary seldom hookup to my laptop so it's not an issue. As for as imprint functions I just used it once to establish a baseline for the sound signature of my vehicle, I used that to create my own tuning parameters that I stored in the 6 presets.

Thanks Guys......pls tell is it possible to play the 5.1 songs through alpine using media player or cant?if any other set up means pls guide me.....
malar  Apr 24, 2014
A
you must understand that the h800 does not decode a source signal. the "multimedia player" must provide a signal decoded into 5.1 channels to the h800 the pxa-h800 takes these decoded signals from a multimedia player (like my ina-w900bt), does its processing magic ( configuration, equalization, crossovers, timing, and signal strength of each) and forwards each of the 5.1 processed decoded channels to a discrete amplifier channel. The amplified channel is sent to the speakers. you cannot send an encoded bitstream to the h800 and expect the h800 to decode the bitstream into discrete signals for each channel. please download the owners manual for the unit in pdf format from the crutchfield website for study. it takes a few times of review to understand what the instructions are trying to say, but you will find that it can answer all of your questions in detail. I found it easiest to print out the manual for review and notation.

Hi Malar. Yes, the PXA-0H800 will play "true" 5.1 if you have the right equipment. Yes, it will play your 5.1 music in 5.1. This is the Alpine's biggest advantage over other DSPs. However, I do not know if it will play from a hard disk unless your hard disk is integrated into your media player. But, I am 100 percent sure you can transfer your music from a hard disk and onto a USB drive or iPod. About the optical? I'm not sure. My build is all RCAs, but they are there for a reason! Contact Alpine tech support and they can confirm.

Absolutely, I have this same setup in my altima, mainly because I wanted superb sound without losing my stock stereo. There are multiple options for this setup and hookup. I'm actually considering removing my stereo now and adding an iPad for my dash setup running sound out the headphone jack to the alpine pxa h800
