When Bose® stopped by to show us their Companion® 3 multimedia speaker system, we were amazed at how these very small speakers filled a sizeable room with rich, spacious sound. As the premier Bose® multimedia speaker system, the Companion® 3 teams a pair of ultra-compact satellites, an Acoustimass® bass module that can be tucked neatly under your desk, and an elegant control pod. From MP3s, CDs, and internet radio to DVDs, streaming video, and games, hear all of your favorite computer audio sources with unprecedented dynamics and clarity.
Dual minijack audio inputs let you hook up your computer plus an additional audio source, such as an iPod™ or a portable CD player. Setup is simple, so you can connect this classy speaker system in a matter of minutes. You even get handy brackets that let you mount the satellites to your monitor!
The key to the Companion® 3's wide-open sound is Bose's proprietary TrueSpace™ stereo signal processing circuitry. It creates an incredibly broad soundstage from speakers positioned no further apart than the width of your computer monitor. The satellites take care of the upper frequencies, while the Acoustimass® module adds impressive, resonant lows for warm, lifelike sound that most conventional computer speakers simply cannot match.
The Companion® 3 also includes a discreet, easy-to-use control pod. No bigger than a computer mouse, the pod features a volume control, headphone jack, and an auxiliary input for quickly connecting a second source like a CD or MP3 player. This system comes in graphite with silver trim.

Compact Acoustimass Module: The compact Acoustimass Module delivers clean, deep low frequencies into the room. The module can be hidden almost anywhere in the listening area and allows for small, elegant speakers without sacrificing performance.
Control Pod: The multi-function pod houses volume control, headphone jack and connection for a second audio source such as an MP3 player.
Active Equalization: The active equalization electronically tunes the frequency response, enabling outstanding audio performance for improved speech intelligibility.

Bose brings a new dimension to my desk top computer. The lows are outstanding and the highs are crisp. It is a bit expensive but if you enjoy music I think it is worth the money.
