About me
I worked in the hospitality industry for about 6 years and decided I needed a change of pace. I received my Cosmetology degree in 2000 and helped open a Day Spa in Blacksburg, Virginia where I was the head Stylist for 4 years. I then ventured out on my own and ran an On-the-Go hair business. During that time, I also earned my Bachelor's Degree from Virginia Tech and moved back to my original home town.
I came to Crutchfield in 2006 and have thoroughly enjoyed introducing new car and home audio products to people's lives.
The Home Theater system in my house features Infinity in-wall speakers in the main Theater room, a Toshiba 42LX177 TV mounted on the wall, XM satellite radio, and an Onkyo TX-SR605 receiver powering it all. I use a Niles Speaker Selector to tie in my bathroom and bedroom in-ceiling speakers. I also have Mirage outdoor speakers, which are great for a lot of occasions.
On a personal note, I love listening to music, especially live. It helps to keep my soul where it needs to be. You can also find me hiking, camping, kayaking, snowboarding--anything involving the outdoors.

Kate was more than willing and very helpful in sharing her knowledge. We had a very unusual project that we were having trouble getting answers to from our local audio salesmen. Kate took the time to help us come up with a solution to our problem and thanks to her we have ourselves a kick ass stereo system that is all self contained in an IGLOO cooler and totally portable. We pull it on a small trailer behind our bicycle. It will be the talk of RAGBRAI (Registers Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa). Thanks Kate for all your help.
