About me
I've claimed the Charlottesville area as home since 1999, and have loved living in central Virginia. A life-long interest in consumer electronics led me to my career with Crutchfield, and I've thoroughly enjoyed being immersed in the products and cutting-edge technology that we are a part of here.
I started in our Internet division, helping process orders that customers placed online. I eventually made the transition to Advisor, making recommendations for customers buying new gear. I also contribute to the Customer Car Showroom, which features articles on our customer's do-it-your-self installs.
When I'm away from work, I teach music theory and acoustic guitar. I enjoy both finger- and flat-picking styles, and have written a wide-range of songs that I enjoy playing live. I love seeing bands (especially bluegrass) as often as I can. I'm an avid Dave Matthews Band fan, and have an extensive collection of live recordings ranging from their early years to present day.

I have a 1988 Mustang GT with fairly shallow door panels. I felt like I needed to boost the mid-bass in the car (plus I had speaker holes there - no sense in wasting them). I tried several different options and couldn't come up with anything that fit right. After less than a minute of talking with Kramer he knew EXACTLY what I needed (Infinity Reference 6020cs). Installed this evening in less than an hour and I can't even describe the incredible difference it made. The mid-bass is punchy, just ABSOLUTELY what I was missing, and I can't thank Kramer enough. Not only do the speakers kick butt, but Kramer does as well. Cordial invitations from me to him for Barbecue and Beers. Thanks again, Kramer.
