About me

I was born and raised in Nebraska where my first job was chicken catcher. I then moved my way up the rural employment ladder to the cornfields where I was a tasseler. 

After three years at the University of Nebraska in their marching band and pre-dentistry program, I decided to "join the circus", so to speak. I moved to Los Angeles where I was a stand-up comedian before becoming a founding-member of the Groundlings improvisational comedy group.  I worked as a writer on several TV shows, as an on-camera and voice actor, and I wrote, produced and directed TV commercials and comedy videos.

I also have the dubious distinction of holding the record for the most wins on The Gong Show (3) - then again, I also hold the record for the most gongs (3).

I moved to Virginia in 1990 and since then I've been working in sales - the last 8 years here at Crutchfield, where I thoroughly enjoy helping my customers choose, use and enjoy our products and services.

When I'm not working, I really enjoy spending time with my wife and family, gardening, traveling and playing with my consumer electronic "toys", listening to satellite radio and my iPod.  I particularly love watching my favorite TV shows, movies and sports on my HD plasma TV.  I also have fun doing voice-overs in my home recording studio.
