The KCA-iP301V connecting cable gives you high-speed access to the music and video on your Video iPod or iPhone™ through your compatible 2009-up Kenwood DVD receiver. One end of the cable plugs into your iPod's dock connector; the other end includes a USB cable, a miniplug audio cable, and a miniplug video cable, all of which connect to your Kenwood stereo.

The KCA-iP301V connecting cable gives you high-speed access to the music and video on your Video iPod or iPhone™ through your compatible 2009-up Kenwood DVD receiver. One end of the cable plugs into your iPod's dock connector; the other end includes a USB cable, a miniplug audio cable, and a miniplug video cable, all of which connect to your Kenwood stereo.

The USB cable handles the control and charging of your iPod, so you can navigate through your music files with the Kenwood's controls while you view song info on its display. The miniplug connectors transfer the music and video from your iPod to the stereo's audio and video inputs. Music and video images travel to your stereo as analog signals, so you can even play the Digital Rights-protected files stored on your iPod. Warranty: 1 year.

Note: Your 2009-up Kenwood receiver must include both a USB input and an audio/video 3.5mm minijack input in order to work with this cable. Be sure to check "Details" for specific iPod model compatibility with this iPod adapter.

Overview: The KCA-iP301V USB Direct Connection Cable for iPod allows you to connect compatible iPods with a USB-equipped Kenwood  multimedia head unit that also features an audio and video 3.5mm minijack input. This cable enables the head unit to control and charge the iPod while connected, as well as enable high-speed iPod data communications of 12Mbps. You will be able to listen and view your iPod's music and video files with your compatible Kenwood multimedia head unit. This cable has an iPod dock connector on one end and a Type A USB plug, 3.5mm stereo miniplug, and a 3.5mm video miniplug on the other end.

Length: The KCA-iP301V is a total of 8 feet long, from the iPod connector to the two audio and video miniplugs. The length of the cable from the iPod connector to the end of the USB cable is 5 feet.

iPod Compatibility: The Kenwood  KCA-iP301V iPod adapter cable is "Made for iPod/iPhone" compatible and supports the following iPod/iPhone model features (as of Nov. 2009):

Connection: One end of the KCA-iP301V (3-wire) cable plugs directly into your iPod's dock connector while the other end of the cable uses three connectors that plug into the back of your compatible Kenwood multimedia head unit. The USB type-A connector portion of the cable plugs into the receiver's USB port and handles the control and charging of your iPod, so you can navigate through your music and video files using your head unit's controls and view song and movie info on its display. The two 3.5mm miniplug connectors of the cable plug into the head unit's A/V 3.5mm inputs and transfer the music and video from your iPod to your Kenwood multimedia head unit. By using the Auxiliary input, the music travels to the receiver as an analog signal, so you can even play the Digital-Rights-Protected files you've stored on your iPod. The controls of your Kenwood head unit will be seamless when used with the optional KCA-iP301V and include metadata browsing and playback of DRM contents, as well as the ability to choose any iPod playback mode to suit your listening application.
