Features
Overview: The Pioneer AS-BT200 Stereo Bluetooth Adapter lets you wirelessly stream music from your Bluetooth enabled audio device to a 2011 Pioneer A/V Receiver. Now, instead of being limited to headphones to listen to the music stored on your portable device or computer -- you can enjoy your music wirelessly from your iPhone, BlackBerry, Android or other smartphone, as well as your PC, laptop or many other A2DP profile Bluetooth-enabled devices directly from a new 2011 Pioneer AV receiver. The AS-BT200 Bluetooth adapter is a simple solution for adding wireless audio to your home theater system.
Pioneer Receiver Compatibility: The AS-BT200 Stereo Bluetooth Adapter is compatible with all 2011 Pioneer A/V receivers, including the following (as of June 2011):
- VSX-521-K
- VSX-821-K
- VSX-921-K
- VSX-1021-K
Note: The AS-BT200 connects to a proprietary port on the back of all the new 2011 Pioneer A/V receivers.
Bluetooth Ver.2.1 + EDR Certified: The Pioneer AS-BT200 is Bluetooth ver.1.2 + EDR certified and supports A2DP and AVRCP Bluetooth profiles.
- A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile): A Bluetooth profile used to transmit audio using Bluetooth (2.4GHz) wireless technology.
- AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile): A Bluetooth profile used for remote control of an AV device using Bluetooth (2.4GHz) wireless technology.
Bluetooth Compatibility: The AS-BT200 works with A2DP/AVRCP profile Bluetooth enabled devices, including the following (as of June 2011):
- iPod touch (2nd/3rd/4th gen)
- iPhone (2G/3G/3GS/4)
- iPad
- Android
- Blackberry
- various smartphones
- PC
- Laptops
Note: Your compatible Bluetooth device will need to be paired, initially. Not all Bluetooth (A2DP/AVRCP) enabled devices will be compatible with the Pioneer AS-BT200.
Remote Control (via Receiver): Because the Pioneer AS-BT200 supports the Bluetooth AVRCP profile, you can control basic playback functions of your Bluetooth (A2DP/AVRCP) enabled device from a compatible Pioneer A/V receiver's remote control.
Air Jam: Pioneer's exclusive Air Jam App (compatible with the AS-BT200 and networked 2011 Pioneer receivers only) has been designed in-house by Pioneer and is available for free download from Apple's iTunes store. With Air Jam, you and your friends can connect up to 4 Apple devices (iPad, iPhone, iPad touch with iOS 4.2 or later) to make a group playlist on your home theater through a compatible network-ready Pioneer receiver (VSX-1021-K)
