I've been employed at Crutchfield since November of 1996 and have been a Crutchfield customer since the 1980's. I love music, movies, sports, and electronic gadgets so working at Crutchfield is more like a hobby than a job for me. I don't have any children but I have a 6 year old German shepherd I've spoiled since she was 8 weeks old.

I recently put together a complete home theater system in my basement with home theater seating & movie themed wall-to-wall carpeting that includes the Epson Home Cinema 3020E projector, Fusion Rocket Movie Server, Marantz SR7007 home theater receiver, Klipsch RF-82II floor standing speakers, Klipsch RC-64II Black Center channel speaker, Klipsch RS-62II surround speakers, Klipsch SW-110 powered subwoofer w/wireless kit, Oppo BDP 105 Blu Ray player, Apple TV, BDI Revo rotating AV cabinet, and Panamax 7500 Pro & MB850 power protection units. Other products I own & love include the Sonos Play 3 & Play 5, Sennheiser MM400X headphones, Pioneer DEH-80PRS CD Receiver, Polk DXI Series speakers, Alpine MRP-F300 amplifier, and Pioneer TS-W254R 10" subwoofer

My first purchase at Crutchfield was a pair of 8" Pyle Audio speakers in a box for my 1978 Datsun B210 back in the late 1980's. I knew I wanted those speakers I listened to at the Crutchfield retail store and didn't ask for any help or advice. I remember how excited I was to bring the speakers home, and how disappointed I was with the results after hooking them up with my factory radio. I made the mistake many people do and didn't realize at the time the speakers were underpowered. Speakers will sound distorted when they are underpowered much in the same way they do when given too much power, and these Pyle Audio speakers required a separate amplifier for the performance I was expecting. I've learned a lot since then and would love to use that knowledge to help you avoid some common pitfalls whether choosing equipment for your car or home, so give me a call.
