I started with Crutchfield in 1998 as one of the 16 original Advisors hired for Crutchfield's (then) new Southwest Virginia Call Center. I began as a phone sales advisor, moved into our email/web sales department, then spent several years as a Quality Advocate. Before coming to Crutchfield, I earned a BA in English from the College of William & Mary, and worked at a variety of jobs including teaching school, working in an auto parts store, and working at a coal mine (at, not in). Although I didn't have any background in electronics prior to coming to Crutchfield, I've always loved music and gadgets. That makes Crutchfield a wonderful, but dangerous, place to work. I want all the new toys when I see them! My Durango is currently equipped with a JVC CD receiver, Boston Acoustics speakers powered by an Alpine amplifier, and an MTX Thunderform powered subwoofer. At home, I enjoy watching my 52" HDTV, while listening to surround sound from my Onkyo receiver and Infinity speaker system. When I want to listen to music, it's usually the 60's Channel or Classic Vinyl channel on my Sirius Stratus 6 dock & play unit, or my own playlist on my 32 GB iPod touch.
Besides music, my interests include reading (3 e-readers!), camping, and photography. I own several digital cameras - my latest acquisitions are a Sony DSLR and a Canon SX-40 with 35X zoom.

When not working or indulging in my hobbies, I spend most of my spare time throwing a tennis ball for my dog, Molly. Molly is a rescued cockapoo that I found through Petfinder.com. She's a sweetie-pie who loves to camp and is very photogenic.

I had just finished reading my Consumer Reports magazine when I found out about your company... the excellent reviews made me go right to your website. Never heard of it, until then but you can bet I will be back. I needed help picking out a GPS unit, it came down to a couple of units. I had a hard time sorting the differences out when up popped Ann, she answered all my questions and helped me make my decision. I ordered the unit and am waiting on it right now... great job Ann.

Spoke w/ Ann today, 11/4/10. First time encounter with a Crutchfield Advisor, despite having been an infrequent customer for more than 10 years. Wow! She knew her stuff! Had tech research up in seconds to help me make a final choice on front door speakers for my '10 FJ. She even tried to see if there were more compatible/efficient choices but she agreed with my selection then answered detailed questions about tweeter installation and crossovers with aplomb. That kind of customer service is so rare in the electronics industry. She investigated my plan, the looked at what I had already purchased and was assembling as my new sound system. Her depth of knowledge about balancing out the choices together was amazing. And her demeanor was pleasant and friendly, I felt like I was speaking with my nicest aunt or sister-in-law, except Ann is totally tech savy; my relatives, hardly. Crutchfield rocks and Ann rules! Consider me a lifetime customer.
I called Crutchfield today to get some insight into which car stereo might be most suitable for my VW Golf and also would work (mostly) seamlessly with my iPhones/iPods. Ann very patiently answered all my questions and spent as much time as I needed so that I would feel comfortable with my purchasing decision.
