V-Power: small and powerful amplifiers

The new V-Power all-digital car amplifiers are 40% smaller than their predecessors, so they can fit almost anywhere. Each amp features Enhanced Shutdown Performance, which rolls back the output a bit when the amp threatens to overheat from playing at its limits too long. Instead of shutting down completely, it continues playing your music, until it cools enough to return to full power. Each amp also includes preamp- and speaker-level inputs, so you can install one in almost any vehicle, even a vehicle with a factory radio. If you're using the speaker-level inputs, the amp senses an incoming signal and turns itself on, eliminating the need to run a turn-on wire back to your vehicle's receiver or fusebox.

A bigger screen for your car

Released in 2012, Alpine's INE-Z928HD features an 8" screen which continues to be the largest available for aftermarket stereos. This year, their audio-video-navigation lineup welcomes two new additions -- the INE-W927HD with a 7" screen and the INE-W940 with 6.1” screen (coming soon). These large displays offer easy access to frequently used features, like swapping audio sources or calling up GPS locations, without getting lost in a menu system.
