About the SIRIUS SUPV1 Car Kit
The SIRIUS Sportster 4, Sportster 5, Starmate 4, Starmate 5, and Stratus plug-and-play radios all come with car accessories: a cradle, an antenna, and a car power adapter. This handy car kit includes another full set of car accessories, which makes it easy for you to use your SIRIUS plug-and-play radio in a second vehicle.
The radio sits snugly in the cradle, which you can secure to your windshield using the included suction-cup mount. The antenna attaches to your roof with its magnetic base, while the adapter plugs right into your car's cigarette lighter or power port to provide power to the radio. Send the sound to your car stereo using your radio's built-in wireless FM transmitter*, or connect the cradle directly to your stereo's auxiliary input, if it has one, with an optional set of patch cables. SIRIUS satellite radios are sold separately.
*Important note from Crutchfield: Current FCC rules limit the transmission strength of wireless FM transmitters to a point where transmission needs to take place very near your FM antenna. Sirius/XM includes extra wiring in order to address this issue, but Crutchfield strongly encourages customers to use an auxiliary input, wired FM modulator, or cassette adapter to ensure your satisfaction with the performance and cosmetics of the satellite radio.

Overview: The SUPV1 car kit includes everything you need to install the Sirius Sportster (item number 607SP4TK1 or 607SP5TK1), the Starmate Replay (item number 607ST4), or the Stratus (item number 607SV3 or 607SV4TK1) in your vehicle. The kit is compatible with the SP4, SP4R, SP3 and SP3B SIRIUS brand Plug & Play receivers, and it contains a docking cradle, mounting bracket, DC power cigarette lighter adapter, roof-mount antenna, FM extender antenna and mounting hardware. The Sirius receiver (sold separately) mounts firmly in the cradle, where antenna, power and signal connections are made.
Docking Station: Compatible Plug & Play receivers plug into the docking cradle and lock into place. The docking station mounts to the supplied mounting brackets using 4 machine screws. On the back of the dock, there are inputs for the antenna and DC power supply, a line output jack (3.5mm stereo mini-jack), a transmission antenna output and a locking switch.
Note: The locking switch is used to attach the cradle adapter to the dock which allows ST or SV Sirius Plug and Play receiver models to work with the SUPV1 car docking station.
Antenna: The low-profile Sirius antenna has a powerful magnetic base that allows you to mount the antenna on the roof or trunk lid of your vehicle. The antenna needs to be positioned in such a way that it will be free of mechanical and line-of-sight obstructions. The antenna' s dimensions are: Diameter = 2.221", H = 0.495", Cable Length = 21'.
Note: The attached micro cable has a single SMB connector, which plugs into the cradle.
FM Extender Antenna: The FM Extender Antenna is provided to maximize the audio quality of your Sirius radio when using the built-in FM transmitter in your Sirius tuner to transmit the audio to your vehicle's FM radio. The FM Extender Antenna should be placed inside the vehicle in close proximity to the your vehicle's factory FM antenna. The FM Extender Antenna has permanent adhesive mounts for installing it along your vehicle's window. The Antenna portion measures 18" long and utilizes an attached 18.5' cord to route the antenna through your vehicle. The cord has a right angle mini-jack connector on the end of it that plugs into the FM-Out on back of the car docking station.

Mounting Bases:
- Suction Cup Mount: The suction cup mount may be attached to any smooth surface. The mount has an adjustable arm to position the dock which then can be locked into place.

SIRIUS Satellite Radio: SIRIUS Satellite Radio features more than 120 streams of original programming beamed coast-to-coast, including 65 streams of commercial-free, digital-quality music, and news, talk, sports, entertainment, and children's programming.
Note: Satellite radio service is available only within the continental United States. Service is not available in Alaska and Hawaii.
