Overview: The Lorex 4K 16-Channel 2TB Network Video Recorder (N910A62) lets you create an expandable personal home security system. You can connect up to 8 wired IP cameras and up to 8 Fusion wireless (Wi-Fi) cameras. The NVR is capable of recording 11.3MP video (4K+) with 50% more pixels than 4K for enhanced detail and clarity. The NVR can be monitored locally with a connected TV or computer monitor, or remotely via the Lorex (formerly Lorex Home) app. It is also compatible with Matter, and with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant voice assistants. The NVR's dimension are: Width 12.5625" Height 2.25", Depth 9.79" (approximately 11.5" with plugs); Weight 49.5 ounces (3 pounds 1.5 ounces)

16 Channels: The N910A62 NVR is capable of recording up to 16 channels of video from up to eight wired and eight wireless (Wi-Fi) cameras (sold separately). The NVR includes an on-screen display and an optical mouse (USB) for configuring the system and navigating the menus.

Display: The NVR lets you display live video from its HDMI output at a resolution of up to 4K (3840 x 2160) in full screen for a single channel, or in a grid of four, eight, nine, or 16 channels.

Recording: The NVR can record video in the following resolutions and frame rates: 4K+ (11.3MP) @ 15 fps, 4K (8MP) @ 15 fps, 5MP @ 30 fps, 4MP @ 30 fps, 1080p @ 30 fps, and 720p @ 30 fps. It uses H.265 or H.264 video compression. You can schedule recordings for each channel Continuously, or through Motion, Smart Motion (Person, Vehicle, and Face), Alarm, Day, by Hour. Cameras with the above features are required.

Storage: The NVR has a single bay for a SATA Hard Disk Drive (HDD). It includes a pre-installed 3.5" 2TB SATA HDD, which can be expanded to 16TB, if desired. When the HDD is full, the system will override the oldest recordings, by default, assuring your system will continue to record without requiring input from you. If desired, you can set up the system to stop recording once the hard disk drive is full. You can backup video from the HDD onto a USB HDD or USB flash drive, formatted in FAT32.

Playback: The NVR lets you play back one channel in full screen or up to 4 channels at a time, simultaneously and synchronized, in a grid configuration. Playback functions include Play/Pause, Stop, Play Backwards, Fast Playback (2x, 4x, 8x, 16x), Slow Playback (1/2x, 1/4x, 1/8x, 1/16x), Previous Frame, and Next Frame. To listen to recorded audio, you must be viewing an audio-equipped camera in single channel mode, with an HDMI-connected monitor with built-in speakers or connected external speakers. You can search by Time/Date, All Motion Events or Smart Motion (Person, Vehicle, and Face Detection), and Area Search.

Smart Motion Detection: The NVR System supports the Smart Motion Detection features of compatible Smart Deterrence cameras, enabling the system to provide more relevant notifications through the Lorex app. The system supports specific motion events triggered by persons or vehicles.

Smart Deterrence: Cameras with Lorex Smart Deterrence feature bright, customizable warning lights. Smart Deterrence cameras also feature sirens and pre-recorded voice prompts that can be triggered automatically or manually. In the system menu, you can configure the Smart Deterrence settings, as well as set up custom areas for each camera for monitoring.

Power Over Ethernet (PoE): The eight camera inputs are compatible with PoE protocol, and supply power to each connected camera through the Ethernet cable. The NVR has a total power output (or PoE budget) of 72 watts, or 25.5 watts for a single port. Exceeding the PoE budget can result in video loss. Alternative ways of connecting cameras include connecting cameras directly to your router using a PoE switch (sold separately), or directly to your router and powering the camera using a DC power adapter (sold separately). You should use CAT5e or higher Ethernet cable for this.

Inputs/Outputs: The N910A62 Network Video Recorder has the following connections:

• Front Panel: One USB-A port for connecting the USB Mouse (included) or a USB flash drive (not included) for data backup or manual firmware updates.
• Back Panel:
  • DC In: DC barrel connector for the included power adapter
  • PoE Video Inputs: Eight RJ-45 IP ports for connecting up to 8 Lorex IP cameras.
  • LAN: RJ-45 port for connecting the NVR to your router for remote connectivity and automatic firmware updates. A 39" Ethernet cable is included.
  • Audio Out: Single RCA Audio Output for connecting an amplifier or external powered speaker to hear system audio.
  • Audio In: Single RCA Audio Input for connecting an external microphone for single-channel audio recording.
  • VGA: Female DE-15 output for connecting a computer monitor.
  • HDMI: Single HDMI output for connecting a monitor or TV. A 39" HDMI cable is included.
  • USB Port: USB-A port for connecting the USB Mouse (included) or a USB flash drive (not included) for data backup or manual firmware updates.

Lorex App: The Lorex app (formerly Lorex Home) gives you easy access to recordings on your Lorex NVR security system. When your cameras detect motion, you will receive an instant motion alert notification on your smartphone, allowing you to view live video on your device. Using the app, you can see and respond to a person at your door or on your property using two-way talk. The app lets you configure advanced motion detection functions and system settings. Access to your cameras and security system can be shared with family or friends, if desired. The Lorex app is compatible with Apple iPhone and iPod touch with iOS 10.0 or later. It also works with Apple TV (requires tvOS 9.0 or later), Apple Vision (requires visionOS 1.0 or later), and a Mac with macOS 11.0 or later and Apple M1 chip or later. The app is also compatible with Android devices running version 5.0 and up.

Matter: The N910A62 is Lorex's first NVR that is compatible with Matter, which is supported by every major smart home platform in the Connectivity Standards Alliance. With Matter, the recorder can be seamlessly controlled through Amazon Alexa, Apple Home, or Google Home. You can use Matter to control all cameras at the same time, including the lights and sirens on Smart Deterrence-enabled cameras.

Voice Assistants: The Lorex NVR system is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Smart displays, such as the Google Nest Hub or the Amazon Echo Show, will show you the view from your cameras with a voice command. You can also monitor your security camera footage on a larger screen with Chromecast or Firestick, or download the Lorex app on your Apple TV (Gen 4 or newer) to view live feeds from your cameras.
