I have a Denon avr x3200W. Is it okay to use speakers that are rated higher then the 105 watts per channel that the receiver puts out? I have a budget of about $1,000 for hopefully 2 towers, 4 surrounds, a center and a sub.

Michael, your Denon receiver is a workhorse and will happily power speakers that have a higher power rating. It's 4-ohm stable across all of its channels, so you can confidently use any speaker that you want within your stated budget. Check out Polk Audio and ELAC as two fantastic options for your new system. Feel free to give one of our Advisors a call if you would like some help putting together a package.
