Most of the people appearing in our videos are employees at Crutchfield. We pull in folks from around the company to share their expertise. A lot of our on-camera stars come from our Advisor Group — they help people choose the right gear via phone, email and chat every day, so they're good at explaining the products and technologies.

Kramer, a Crutchfield advisor, tried out the Bose® Companion® 2 Series II multimedia speaker system at his desk and gives his review.

Kramer: I've recently had the opportunity to spend several weeks with the Bose Companion 2 multimedia speakers. For a small 2.0 system they rock. Outstanding clarity, great bass response thanks to the ports on the back, and really good staging for music listening. So with small, compact speakers at your desk you no longer have to choose between footprint or sound.

Right out of the box, the Companion 2s were very easy to set up. There was no lengthy cables to unwind or any big power brick adapters to hide. You simply take an audio jack cable and plug it into the headphone side of your computer, and you've got just a red and white RCA that plugs into the back of one of the speakers. The other speaker is connected via small cable — nice and simple. You can also plug them into an iPod or an iPhone using the other set of audio input jacks on the back. You also have a headphone input on the front so if you want to do private listening. Without having to undo what's plugged into your computer, you can just simply plug a pair of headphones into the front and you're ready to go.

You've also got your volume knob which doubles as the on/off switch. There isn't any kind of LED light though so remember to turn them off when you're done.

If you have any questions about these or any of the other speakers that we carry please give us a call. We're happy to help.
