Video: Canon PowerShot D20 waterproof camera
Zak Billmeier grew up in southern Vermont and coastal Maine. After graduating from Mary Washington College with a Geography degree he still isn't sure quite what to do with, he eventually settled in the mountains of Central Virginia. He spends his free time chasing his daughter around, taking pictures, gardening and cooking. Zak traces the roots of his interest in electronic gadgets to the Casio wristwatch with a built-in calculator he received as a gift one year as a child. He joined Crutchfield's car A/V team in 2007.

Canon PowerShot D20 waterproof camera
Zak: I'm here at Massanutten waterpark in Virginia today having some fun with the Canon D20 PowerShot waterproof camera. So this is another one of those cameras you can take underwater, you can drop it from, you know, a reasonable distance, and it'll take some punishment. It's a great one to bring to the beach or obviously a place like this water park. It's got built-in GPS if you want to tag your photos that way.
It's got an interesting design, too. You can see here it looks like a shark took a bite out of the end of it. I thought that was weird at first, but then I started holding the camera and my finger just did this automatically so somebody must have thought of that.
Anyway, it was a lot of fun to use and we got fantastic underwater pictures with it. And it shoots full High Def movies. It's got a dedicated button right here on the back so no matter what you're doing, you can punch that button and start shooting a High Def movie. You can even slow it down and do a slow motion movie, which I really like to do when you've got your kid coming down a waterslide or a wave is about to hit him or something's gonna happen. It's fun to have that.
Anyway, it's a go everywhere camera that you can bring on the ski slopes, to the beach, take it surfing with you, mountain biking, whatever you like to do. And you'll have a ton of fun with it. So if you have any questions about the PowerShot D20, or weatherproof cameras in general, just give us a call.
