Secure connections are important when you're connecting your Crutchfield wiring harness to your new receiver's harness. And that's why we always recommend Posi-Products connectors. Here's how they work. Strip the ends of the wires you'll be connecting, twist the wires together, slide the Posi-Product connector over the wires, and twist on the top to finish a solid, secure connection without tape or soldering. So order a pack of Posi-Product connectors before you start your installation.

How well will they work in a marine application ( salt water environment )?

Walter, as long as you use marine-grade wiring, they should work as advertised.

Why not use regular color coded wire nuts (gray, blue, orange, etc..), then you don't even have to pre twist the wires ? Could save you maybe 1 or 2 steps.
