Steve, Crutchfield editor, is an ardent stereo audio fan, but he wanted to upgrade his living room with a surround sound system. So we helped him build a system that would provide engaging home theater effects and could stand up to his two-channel music listening needs, too. We chose a Marantz SR6006 home theater receiver, Marantz UD7006 Blu-ray player, and Furman Elite-15 PFi power conditioner/protector. We paired these components with Klipsch Reference Series speakers — RF-62II front tower speakers, RC-52II center channel, RS-52II surround speakers, and SW-112 subwoofer.
