Video Transcript

Steve: Hi, I'm Steve.

Julie: And I'm Julie.

Steve: And we're here in the Crutchfield video studio with the Sony BDP-S360 Blu-ray player.

Julie: So the BDP-S360 is what I think of as a good basic player. You of course get full HD 1080p resolution for your Blu-ray discs.

Steve: Yep. And it has built-in decoding for Dolby® TrueHD and DTS-HD™ Master Audio, which are the two highest quality surround sound formats. So if you've got a home theater receiver with an HDMI input you just connect an HDMI cable between this player and your receiver and you get this fantastic surround sound.

Julie: Yeah, it's really a nice touch. Another thing that you've got is something called Precision Cinema HD Processing, and that's basically Sony's term for upconverting the image that you get from your DVD so you get a really high-quality picture. I like that they've gone ahead and put some attention against that, because most of us want our existing DVDs to continue to be part of our movie library.

Steve: Yeah.

Julie: And last but not least, the BDP-S360 does support BD Live, and that's a feature where with select titles you can use the Internet to download and watch certain extras.

Steve: Like games.

Julie: Yep exactly — movie trailers. So if you're a movie buff and you want more content for a favorite movie, it's nice to have BD Live on a player. If you'd like to find out more about the Sony BDP- S360 you can always visit our website at
