A sound damping product like Dynamat can drastically improve your sound system's performance. We put it to the test by installing a door kit in a noisy 2002 Nissan Xterra.
In Part 4 of our series on improving the sound in a Ford F-150, we install Dynamat in the interior. Dynamat minimizes vibrations, blocks road noise, and ensures that you get to hear every last detail of the system you've built.
In our final installment in the Car Stereo Proving Ground series, we examine the effects of Dynamat on sound quality. We had better-than-expected results, achieving an incredible 9dB drop in road noise in most situations, and better results over noisy terrain. The Dynamat greatly reduces noise, which in turns makes our music sound more detailed and present.
