Crutchfield Merchant Is One of the Consumer Electronics Industry's Rising Stars

Dealerscope Magazine honors Jeffery Fay as one of 40 leaders under 40

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (June 3, 2010) — Jeffery Fay, Crutchfield's Director for Mobile Electronics, has been named one of Dealerscope Magazine's "40 under 40" list of young leaders in the Consumer Electronics Industry.

The magazine recognized Fay, 38, as a "great buyer who gets things done" and as an avid promoter of the mobile audio industry. Dealerscope also cited two major projects Fay has overseen in the last eight months:

  • The launch of Crutchfield Signature, which presents high-end merchandise in all categories to tech enthusiasts
  • The development of a private label mobile audio product line called Sound Ordnance.

"This is particularly exciting because the recognition is a result of nominations by people from all over the industry," said Rick Souder, Crutchfield's Executive Vice President of Merchandising. "Manufacturers, Retailers, Sales Reps and others nominate who they believe are the most impressive younger leaders for their impact on their companies and the industry."

Fay, who earned a B.A. in Marketing from Northern Arizona University, became Crutchfield's mobile electronics buyer in 2007. He had previous industry experience in retail and manufacturing. In 2009, he was promoted to his current position.
