The combination of the two worked wonders on our 12 volt radio in our race trailer. We had a lot of humming and static and noise whenever we started up the generator. All better now. Thanks! Was this review helpful? Yes | No 5 out of 5 Best bucks I ever spent Written By Jeff W, Washington DC on Friday, November 05, 2010 This filter took the AM station I listen to on my commute from largely unlistenable 80% of the time to virtually static free. I can now listen to the station during the entire commute, with hardly any static! The only time it couldn't filter out was when the EMI was so great (we have a 3rd world electrical infrastructure with wires everywhere), that other frequencies actually bled through. Freakishly simple to install and the difference is literally night and day. Get this if you have a lot of antenna-driven RF. It's a no-brainer. 1 out of 1 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Yes | No 1 out of 5 Worked in reverse. Written By Therian, LI, NY. on Thursday, April 08, 2010 I was getting lots of noise on the radio so I figured I'd give it a shot. With this filter in line, the noise level stayed the same, but the reception dropped by about 40+% so it actually made things worse. When you check out, the website asks for the model of your car as you may need an adaptor. This filter is just one tiny little choke in a big plastic housing, it's easily 2-3 times larger than it needs to be. I've never been motivated to write an online review before buying this product. I hope I can help keep someone from throwing away their money like I did. It would have been a lot less work to just throw my money in the trash. 3 out of 4 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? I have a stock radio in a 06 Chevy Avalanche that got terrible reception with am radio, tons of static any time I went by power poles. This filter completely solved the problem! I did have to buy a couple of adaptors so the motorola input and output would work with OEM Chevy, but well worth the price and the effort. 8 out of 9 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? This product does exactly what it says. Installation was a snap, just plug the filter between your head unit and your antenna line and presto! I couldn't believe the clarity. The antenna noise is gone! I can barely tell the difference between radio and CD quality. Now I listen to the radio much more often. I would definitely recommend this product if you are having problems with antenna noise. 6 out of 6 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Yes | No 5 out of 5 Once again.... Written By Jose, Los Angeles, CA on Thursday, May 03, 2007 This product is great when used by itself. I did not expect it to work this well (or at all) considering how much it cost. Like the previous review said, when used in conjunction with the signal amplifier (item #12044UA60) the results are simply fascinating. Keep in mind that this will not reduce any noise caused by your vehicle's electrical system, ONLY the antenna signal! But really there's only one way for you to find out. 2 out of 3 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? I have a portable radio set consisting of a CB and AF/FM radio that I move from different Mack tractors that I drive. The CB and AM radios were nearly useless from engine noise. I installed the AS100 first and realized that I didn't need the S15A because the AS100 filter worked so well. So I installed the S15A to my CB radio instead and now that radio is quieter too. My conclusion is that they both do the job well but this antenna filter exeeded my expectations. All noise is gone. 4 out of 4 people found this helpful Was this review helpful?
