The only problem I had was the sleeve from the receiver fitting into it. It was a really tight fit and I had to really work to get it on. This Kit allowed for a perfect fit/finish while replace the stock GM radio in my 99 Pontiac GP. Installation notes claim new radio will stick out 1 inch but that was not the case. If you just break off the molded plastic rear support for the old stock radio the new radio will fit flush. A pair or pliers will do the job just fine. Just grab and snap. I didn't dare buy another kit just to find out it doesn't fit, like it says on the box. Enter Crutchfield, I remembered the name from my teenage years buying Kenwood casette decks and Alpine EQ/amplifiers. The last setup I had in my car is now in my camp trailer. I knew I could trust Crutchfield when it came to installation kits. If it says it will fit, it will.
