Great for maintaining an OEM look.
I was pleased to see that this matched the original really well. It's more plastic, but that's okay.
Pros: Looks great, easy install.
Cons: Not a rigid as the original (but rigid enough) screws to short.
this was the perfect fit for my double din radio with no modification required
Pros: keeps the stock look - easy to install - directions were ok - price!
Cons: none for me at least
Great quality and fit
Perfect fit, no gap better than factory fit radio and looks great
Pros: Perfect fit
JVC Double Din Install. Perfectly matched color and design. It took a little adjusting, then re-adjusting, and adjusting some more before it was a perfect fit, but it was worth it. Looks about as factory as you can get. Don't forget to re-use the yellow clips from the factory stereo. Directions aren't perfect but 99% of most people will figure it out after tinkering with it a bit. I've used about 30 different dash kits in my life and this one is among the best.
Pros: Color match - perfect Fit and finish - perfect How it looks compared to OEM - like it was designed by Toyota.
Cons: I've never understood why those little slide brackets are included. The supplied screws aren't long enough to use them., and its not even close. Am I missing something? I had to remove and re-install because I originally slid the radio about 1/8" too far forward at first, and it didn't quite snap into place perfectly in the dash. I removed the unit and slid the radio back 1/8" and it snapped into the dash perfectly.
Looks fine installed, but I had to trim about 1/8" off the bottom of the cubby pocket in order to get it to fit properly in the dash. Not too big of a deal, but definitely would rather not have had to do that. Luckily the plastic is easy to shave off with a utility knife.
Pros: Silver matches the factory Toyota Camry silver very well
Cons: Didn't fit out of the box; had to trim the bottom of the cubby pocket...
Impressed with the fit and finish, however when installing a double DIN unit there were modifications needed. I've done a few installs and both the Crutchfield and instructions with the product were a bit lacking.
Pros: Fit and finish, matches the car very well.
Cons: Possible modifications, instructions could be more thorough.
Pros: Works as expected
Cons: Could have better instructions
Perfect color match, perfect fit. I truly wasn't expecting how good this trim panel was.
Only needed the face piece, didn't fit over the stereo so I had to trim it. Next time I'll go with a different brand. But Crutchfield was great as always. I did have to pay shipping though. That was a first
Pros: looks good when modified
Cons: doesn't fit without modification
Install was easy and the color maches my interior on my silver 2010 Camry. I did not use the brackets.
Great product except the harness.
Pros: Front cover is flush with radio. Fit in place.
Cons: The bracket was to big. Had to use factory bracket.
Like another reviewer, I replaced the OEM radio in a 2011 Camry LE with a double din aftermarket radio (Pioneer FH-X820BS). I found that the plastic mounting brackets were too flimsy for comfort so I re-used the factory brackets. What I 'lost' by doing this was the ability to adjust the position of the radio so it now 'protrudes' about 1/4" so in that position it is not as flush as I would like but I think I can live with it. The finish does not quite match as it is just a shade darker and has more of a matte sheen than the original. Again it is something I can live with. The fit is perfect as relates to the dash itself.
Cons: Had I purchased it locally I probably would have returned it for the reasons mentioned above.
If you're swapping out the OEM stereo in your 2007-2011 Toyota Camry for a double DIN aftermarket unit, use of this kit will leave you with a truly factory looking upgrade. I used this kit on our 2011 Camry LE, and was very pleased with the results. Fit and finish are top notch, and it matches the interior trim almost perfectly. One thing to note though is you're likely to only use the silver (or black) trim bezel out of the package, as you can easily reuse the stock OEM metal mounting brackets (preferred over the plastic brackets included in the kit). Do yourself a favor and go online to watch a couple videos on how the center console and dash come apart. Its not difficult, but there is a sequence/process that should be followed. If you're upgrading radios, this is a must have part of that process.
Pros: Well designed, fit and finish are excellent, trim color is spot on.
Cons: None that I can think of.
OEM could only be better. and more expensive too. Fit perfectly har to tell its after market, even the color looks great.
Pros: Looks almost OEM. You really have to look at it to notice its not.
Cons: I can be scratched easily. BE CAREFULL when installing. That the only reason 4 stars.
Looks great in a 2009 Camry LE. Matches the center stack silver paint very good & fits well to the other panels.
Colors match my factory interior and it bolted in without a problem.
I was skeptical at first ,I did not know how the kit would look and how easy it would be to install. I was astounded how great it was to install with the instructions provided were right on! Crutchfield #1
Pros: ease of install, very good instructions!!!
This product fit perfectly into my 2007 camry. It matched the color perfectly and was easy to install.
Looks factory for our Camry. I chose the silver finish over the black finish for that reason.
It was very simple to mount the head unit and included pocket. It fit the factory location like a glove. All holes and clips lined up just right.
Pros: Ease of install. Matches factory silver finish perfectly.
Cons: I wish the pocket could be placed under the head unit instead of above it. Not a big deal though.
The best in dash receiver kit.
Pros: quick and easy
color wasn't great but close enough, easier to use factory bracket, but overall satisfied
The fit is great and it matches great also
Kit is complete and instructions thorough. Silver color matched interior perfectly. Use existing metal brackets to secure radio.
Pros: Nice finished look.
Cons: No need for plastic brackets. Could reduce price.
It works for the purpose I purchased--to allow me to install the new stereo I purchased.
Pros: It works
Cons: It is a little bit difficult to install, but I had never installed a stereo or adapter before... doing it myself saved me about $250!
Looks great installed. If you are installing a double din head unit you can use the factory brackets.
Pros: emailed instructions on how to remove and install radio and speakers. OEM look.
Dash kit works great can't say anything bad. Looks like the radio and dash kit were made for the car. Also it you buy a double din radio and use the kit you use the factory radio brackets, sooo it's even easier.
Pros: Makes the car look sexy
Fits vehicle and color matches interior as if it were a factory installed item. This item was not included in my original order with the aftermarket head unit purchased but the representative at Crutchfield shipped it immediately after I contacted them. Pleased with the level of service provided by the company and very happy with my purchase.
Pros: Ease of installation and oem integration
The silver kit matches perfectly to the stock dash color. The fit was a bit tight so installation took a little longer than I'm used to. And the instructions could be clearer but it gives enough info for you to figure it out.
Looks great and perfect fit for 2010 Toyota Camry LE. However if you replace the OEM head unit with a double-DIN unit, use the original bracket instead of the one came with the kit
The kit has no issues fitting in the space required. I did not use anything that came with the kit to install my double-bin receiver (JVC NSX1) the receiver barely fit into the kit. The faceplate of my receiver cannot be taken off the unit otherwise it will not go back in place. Long story short, my specific receiver barely fits the kit.
Pros: Matching finish. Easy installation. Perfect fit. The price matches the product (free).
Cons: Finish scratches off really easily so be careful with screw drivers. Part comes with a lot of useless parts, but understandably different receivers may require different parts.
Assembly was fairly straight forward, but the diagram and instructions are a bit lacking. Plastic feels a bit flimsy but overall it works.
one of the nicer looking installation kits around. easy install, i used car brackets. plastic ones were supplied. the face looks great. has nice vertical lines making it look more factory.
Pros: looks great
Cons: i feel the brackets could have been stronger
Even after drilling, the double-din head unit sits a little left or right. Probably because it is the closest match they have for a Subaru. You can't ground to it due to its being plastic. Some rewiring may be required if you have a clip-style ground. I found myself more complacent when it came free with my head unit than when I had to buy an additional one for a second Subie. Crutchfield should drop the price and the free shipping on this item so it could be bundled with non-headunit purchase for cheaper. I normally purchase through Crutchfield, even if they are a little more because of the incredible customer service. However, I purchased a third "install kit" elsewhere as the frame, harness & antennae adaptor was about the same price as this.
Pros: Free with minimal stereo purchase.
Cons: Fit is so-so. Plastic can cause grounding issues.
This kit looks great and matches dash color perfectly. But, it is very cumbersome to install. You literally need three hands to get it together. After you get it together it fits and looks perfect.
Pros: Matches dash
Cons: Hard to install without three hands
The "Toyota In dash Receiver Kit" looks great in my car. The only problem I had was that the brackets did not fit the car perfectly. I had some trouble inserting it properly in the car. The kit lacked a detailed manual. The brackets were made of cheap plastic and does not fit the car comfortably. I was able to fit it in the car, but it did not go in smoothly.
Pros: Looks nice and fits the car style
Cons: The brackets are a hassle to work with.
I used this as a double din application so I did not use the pocket that is provided. It went in perfectly and the color match is perfect to the stock dash silver color. Very happy with this dash kit. [Car info]: 2011 Camry XE / [Stereo]: Pioneer FH-X700BT
Pros: Perfect match and fit.
Much improved over the previous 2007- Camry in-dash receiver kits that I've seen (old ones were fairly flat and plain looking). When installed, the ridge at the top and bottom give it that stock look, although there was some extra plastic along the side edges (easily scraped down carefully using a finger nail). While it does not fit perfectly, no one else can tell if I don't point it out to them. The mounting brackets seem like cheap plastic, but they work, and are secure once fully installed in the dash. When putting it together (prior to placing the entire console unit in the dash) and adjusting the head unit position, I recommend keeping the lower screws that connect to the heater controls loose, and tightening them last.
Pros: Looks stock, and it is sturdy.
Cons: Extra plastic (from molding process) along the sides, but easily scraped down. Can use more/better placed mounting holes for the head unit & longer head unit mounting screws (you'll see what I mean) for the lower half of double-din units since the lower area is wider (standard head mounting screws are not long enough).
Single-DIN or Double-DIN Kit: This mounting kit is designed for both Single-DIN and Double-DIN head units. A pocket is included for single-DIN installations. In a Single-DIN installation, the pocket mounts above the aftermarket head unit.

Installing an aftermarket radio in my 2009 Toyota Camry. The factory installed AUX input no longer works, so it's time to step up to bluetooth. [ Ronald Jan 19, 2016 ]
