great for surround sound

I needed a good pair of surround side speakers for my 7.1 setup at my Digital Audio Workstation. These speakers are great. They have much more bass than my original 101's, and sound very clean and natural. Setup in seconds. For surround speakers, these are some of the best of the small size speakers I have heard.

Great Speakers

I bought 3 pair of these speakers for my dental office. I needed a speaker with contemporary styling that sounds great in a business setting. These speakers fit this need perfectly. The installation was easy and quick. I would highly recommend these speakers.

Great sounding surround speaker

Great looking speaker, with great sound for a surround speaker. Not sure if it would be the best for a full range speaker, but sounds excellent with great dynamic range for surround sound. Nice rich sound.
The mounting "system" that they give you isn't worth a lick, but I did end up using it as most other mounting systems have the large speakers sticking too far out of the wall.

New Move, New Electronics

Just moved into a DT loft, had old set of Bose speakers but needed something more updated and designer fresh. What can I say, I am a gal! I am a Bose product fan and Crutchfield helped me to obtain what I desired in the best means, economically affordable.
I am very pleased and will continue to hunt the halls of Crutchfield to further expand and improve my Bose system. They rock!

Great as primary with subwoofer for apartment

I had an old pair of Bose 201's which still worked great I but needed to
consolidate after moving in with my then fiance. No, she did not tell me to
get rid of them. So, after reviewing the products on Crutchfield last
Holiday, I bought the Bose 161's and an Infinity PS28 subwoofer. We have
been extremely satisfied ever since with their performance and value. I
installed the 161's in the ceiling corners with the PS28 just past mid-room
near the TV. The components are powered by my trusty old Yamaha
receiver. Together, they fill our (we got married) 18'x14' living room with
great sound.
