Excellent product. Glad I bought them.
Pros: The sound and noise reduction
Cons: a bit bulky
Very good quality, easy to use, great value
Pros: Sounds fantastic
Cons: My ears get sweaty
The sound is extremely clear and comfortable headset....
Once again Bose and Crutchfield score again. The sound is as you would expect from Bose and Crutchfield delivers at a great price
As with every Bose product the AE2w bluetooth headphones are superb. Top quality, great sound, comfortable, adequately priced and cool looking. These headphones offer the practicality of a bluetooth in a small attachment and the option of switching from bluetooth to audio cable in a snap when running on low in charge. They have a good battery life use time with short charging time. No question Bose created yet another versatile high-end quality product "11+ stars out of 10"... "Way to go Guys"
Pros: Top quality, great sound, comfortable, adequately priced and cool looking. These headphones offer the practicality of a bluetooth in a small attachment and the option of switching from bluetooth to audio cable in a snap when running on low in charge. They have a good battery life use time with short charging time
Cons: It would have been great if they'd come with a QC3 like case insted of a carry-bag for better protection. Secondary issue...
The Bose AE2W Bluetooth headphones are the best Bluetooth headphones I've tried. i actually loved the first pair so much I bought another to keep at work. The single button playback works like it should. Battery life could be longer, but is plenty to make it through my 10 hour work day. The calls come through clearly and as long as it's not noisy around, there's no issue with using it for phone calls. They do a pretty decent job of passively blocking ambient noise, although I wish they were available with active noise cancellation. The volume controls on the phone and headset work as one, not separately like the Sony Bluetooth headphones. If you're looking for a good lightweight headset that doesn't stick out like a sore thumb in an office environment, then this is your last stop.
Pros: Lightweight, powerful, clear sound, good bass response (not great but good enough) , charge very quickly, seamless connectivity
Cons: Battery life could be better. Bluetooth distance is good enough for normal use, but could be better.
I absolutely love this headset, excellent Bose sound quality and comfort!
Pros: Comfort, ease of use and setup, quality
Great product long Bluetooth range and noise cancellation.
Pros: Noise cancellation and great microphone for calls
Overall these are what you expect from Bose products. The earphones are super comfortable, easy to pair to bluetooth devices and sound great. Answering phone calls works flawlessly. In my opinion you always get what you pay for when you purchase a Bose product.
Pros: Comfort; sound quality
Cons: a hard case would be nice
My kids love it.
Pros: Very light-weight
Cons: Need to use with care, is definitely pricey.
I got these to listen to podcasts on my iPod, and to listen to videos on my iPad. The sound is great, and after a little practice, it is easy to work the controls. These headphones are much better than ear-pods. I would have given these five stars, but it is harder than it needs to be to sync different devices to the headphones. I got my iPod working right away, but the iPad was more difficult. I followed the instructions to turn off the Blue Tooth on the IPod, but still had trouble with syncing the iPad.
Pros: Sound is great. They are well built. Good technical assistance is available from Crutchfield.
Cons: Difficult to sync various devices to the headphones.
Looking for a wireless headset to use at the gym, after ruining my IPhone port from earbud wire being inadvertently pulled out so many times after being snagged on something or another. Competitors all had good features, but I fly 3 to 4 times per week with Bose aviation A20 so I was partial to the AE2w, just because of the reliability factor. Certainly not disappointed! Great quality and the construction is top-notch. Battery life is superb and, even after listening to the 'Doctor' studio headset, sound quality is second-to-none.
Pros: Slim close-to-the-ears design, and all other aspects
I wanted a pair of headphones that i could use at the Gym. Something that the wire wouldn't yank the headphones off my ears when it caught on something. My wife and I don't always agree on music selection on long trips, she can comfortably use them to listen to her own music, as I drive. I have several Bose products and have always had great luck with them.
Pros: Great sound quality (Bose!), easy to use controls (once you learn which button does what!), So cool not having a cord and being able to set my phone down instead of having it in my hand or pocket! Being able to answering calls.
Cons: As with any over the ear head phone, sweating during vigorous activity. Battery life could be longer ( same with any rechargeable device!), however they do last almost my entire weeks workout (4 days 1.5 hours a day).
These were a gift for my husband. I have created a monster as he wears the headphones all the time. He wears them while on his computer, cell phone, ipad and nano. He says they are super comfortable and this is one of the best gifts ever.
Pros: Comfort, sound, quality
Sound and comfort. Ease of use
Cons: Battery life
I have several pairs of Bluetooth (BT) earbuds and headphones and the Bose AE2W's are the best I've used so far. They are extremely comfortable and the sound is pretty good for BT. Range has been pretty good but will break up a little when moving to another room. Overall pretty happy. A bit expensive though - I think $200 would have been a more reasonable price. And they only proved a storage bag. For the price, Bose should have included a case like the QC-15 case. I had to buy a case.
Pros: Comfort, sound and decent noise isolation. Decent BT range.
Cons: Price and seems a bit fragile. Just a bag and no hard case.
perfect. just what i was looking for.
Pros: love the direct wire when recharging, bluetooth module features, comfort
Cons: the bluetooth module fell out while i was carrying the headphones while hiking. backtracked 200 yards and found it in the leaves. whew!
I use it with my iPhone and tablet. It has great sound quality for the sound spectrum; very comfortable with padding on the top bar; works too well for telephone calls with every noise on the other end heard clearly; easy to pair right from the box
Pros: Sound, comfort, easy to pair with another Bluetooth device
Cons: Not perfectly soundproof, but if you listen to music loud enough, I guess it would provide better noise reduction.
The headphones are very comfortable, I can wear them for hours without a problem. Sound quality is good, not great, but didn't expect them to be audiophile. The module plug in is a bit flimsy wouldn't recommend removing it too much, feels like it could break off. Works well when on a call.
Pros: Very light and comfortable.
Cons: Sound quality is not great and module plug could be made better. Not sure why Bose didn't build the electronics into the earpiece. A case would have been nice, instead of a cheap bag.
Definitely Bose = quality - I bought this headphones based on the ratings I read on the internet. I'm not disappointed at all. Maybe a little pricie, but if you are looking for comfort, freedom (bluetooth), lightweight, and excellent sound...stop looking for something else, Bose is the way to go. Connected to my iPad, iPhone and iMac in seconds, right out of the box.
Pros: Sound, comfort, no wires, quality, lightweight, ability to change to wire when the battery dies (while traveling) and connectivity.
Cons: Carrying bag instead of a case...quality out-weight the lack of a carrying case. A bit pricie, but worth it considering everything I mentioned above.
Sound quality very very good. A little bulky but lite and comfortable.
Pros: Very good sound quality.
Cons: Bulky looking.
I would expect more from Bose but again this is their first Bluetooth wireless headphones they made. They have to add some VOLUME first then up the BASS and you might have something there. The separation sounds great but lacks the punch that drives the speaker. Maybe the next version will do better.
Pros: Light weight,Bose name tag and wireless.
Cons: Lacks Volume and Bass output not enough drive through all the levels of sounds.
Very pleased with this headphone. Can walk up to 50 feet and still hear sound clearly.
Pros: comfortable fit. Great sound. Can do other things around the house and still hear TV or Radio
They are light weight. Sound great. No wires!
Pros: Light weight
Cons: Hot in summer
Wow Bose had made another incredible product. The sound is as incredible as the company. I will probably buy a second set. Keep up the awesome work Bose. And Crutchfield keep bringing us amazing products.

Overview: The Bose AE2w Bluetooth wireless headphones let you listen to music, or watch movies and videos, without being tethered by a cord to the source device. The headphone's around-the-ear design and TriPort technology lets you hear smoother audio throughout the entire frequency range from full lows to clear highs. The Bose AE2w audio headphones can enhance your listening experience at home and on the go from your favorite audio sources, including your portable digital music player and laptop computer.
Bluetooth Technology: The built-in Bluetooth technology lets you wirelessly make and receive phone calls from your Bluetooth-enabled phone. You can also listen to music from a Bluetooth-enabled audio device. The wireless operating range is approximately 33 feet. The AE2w headphones include the following profiles: HSP 1.1, HFP 1.5, A2DP 1.2, and AVRCP 1.4.
TriPort Acoustic Structure: The AE2w headphones, with the proprietary TriPort acoustic headphone structure, allow you to enjoy deeper, richer lows from a compact headphone design. Active equalization in the control module also provides improved sound quality.
Around-Ear Headphone Design: The AE2w headphones feature a comfortable around-ear fit with pivoting, angled earcups. The Bose AE2w headphones feature soft cushions that provide an acoustic seal between the headphones and your head, enhancing both performance and comfort. The redesigned ear cushions feature softer materials for hours of comfortable listening.
Padded Adjustable Headband: The adjustable, cushioned headband has been redesigned to distribute weight more evenly across the top of the head. The sturdy design features soft cushion for added comfort. The adjustable headband allows approximately three inches of adjustment in length.
Control Module: The control module, found on the left earcup, lets you turn the unit on and off, and control volume and playback. It also contains a microphone for making phone calls, or talk to voice-recognition apps, such as Siri and Google Search. The Multifunction Button operates functions such as play/pause and track controls for music and video, plus switches between calls and other audio. It has LED and audio indicators for power, battery life, and Bluetooth connection status. The control module is removable, allowing you to use the headphones with the supplied audio cable.
Battery: The control module is powered by a Lithium-ion polymer rechargeable battery. The battery is charged in approximately 3 hours via the supplied 3' USB charging cable. A fully charged battery provides about 7 hours of operating time and 200 hours of standby time.
Audio Cable: When you want to save battery power, or the battery is exhausted, you can remove the control module and use the AE2w as a wired headphone. The included 68" audio cable connects to the left earcup using the same 2.5mm sub-mini jack as the control module. The 1-sided design gives you greater freedom of movement and less tangling. The audio cable is terminated with a 3.5mm mini-plug. No 1/4" plug adapter is included.
Fold-Flat Design: The AE2w's earcups can rotate to fold flat, allowing for easy storage and transport in the included cloth carry pouch.

Yes and no... These headphones do a good job at muffling the noise, but not eliminating it. The plus is that you don't have a cord and you can listen to the music. Although you may need to turn up the volume to overcome the external noise. Bose noise cancelling phones are excellent at almost completely eliminating outside noise (especially mechanical noise such as airplane engine noise). However you will have to use a chord to listen to your music. You may also use Bose noise cancelling phones without the cord just to aliminate the noise, if you don't care about music. But on the other hand you can use ear plugs to do that (much cheaper). Other companies make blue tooth noise cancelling headphones, but none of them can beat Bose as far as cancelling the noise. (Too bad Bose doesn't have a blue tooth version of their noise cancelling phones.) Also consider the fact that these are full size around the ear phones. Of all the brands these do the best job at staying on your head when you work or exercise, These are hands down the lightest and most comfortable full size phones. However for your job, you may want to consider in-ear noise cancelling phones. [ Valery Aug 24, 2015 ]
I use them while mowing and they work great [ KATHY Aug 23, 2015 ]
I think you should go with the noise canceling. With these you will still hear the lawn mower a little. [ YOLANDA Aug 23, 2015 ]
Great headphones but for the use you describe I would probably go for noise cancellation. [ GEORGIOS Aug 23, 2015 ]
I would recommend the noise canceling set. [ Eldon Aug 23, 2015 ]
I use them in the yard working an think they are fine. I am the sound canceling would be quieter [ Dwight Aug 23, 2015 ]
Thx for your time Matthew! [ michael Feb 19, 2015 ]
I love these headphones--great sound and comfortable. We use them in a small apartment so someone can watch TV while another is sleeping. I am probably not the best person to ask about the range as my "techy" son tell me that our TV does not have the best (whatever you need) for these to work well. Even with this the range is 12-15 feet. Hope this helps. [ FRANCINE Feb 19, 2015 ]
Up to 30' even with one wall in between [ Dwight Feb 19, 2015 ]
I found to be appox.20 to 75 ft depending on environment (electrical, etrontonic interference and physical barriers etc. [ MATTHEW S Feb 19, 2015 ]

I have not noticed any loss on the bluetooth end. [ MARIO Dec 22, 2014 ]
Chris, I haven't been in the need to use the wire with this headphones. All I can tell is that the sound quality coming out this headphone is what I was expecting...Bose quality. I'm completely satisfied with the sound and freedom the headphones give me...I hope this will help make your decision. Happy Holidays!! [ Jose Dec 21, 2014 ]
It sound loader on Bluetooth. Wired connection sound good depending on the source. [ Adalberto Dec 21, 2014 ]
Yes the audio quality is great when the wire is plugged in. Can't beat the Bose sound. [ ENEYDA Dec 21, 2014 ]
Chris, We have found that as long as you stay within the recommended range of the Bluetooth connecyion, there is no degregation in sound quality. Sound quality is no different between wired vs Bluetooth. [ Marco Dec 21, 2014 ]

Greetings Shawn G, I just tested mine using my iMac as it will pair up but however when I tried to play music with my iTunes i'll hear some playback but it sounds choppy now I'm not sure if it's just mine because my apple bluetooth keyboard and mouse are linked up to my iMac as well they may be the case why my headphones may have that choppy broken sound but you may have a better luck on yours but don't let this stop you from purchasing these headphones they are awesome and have excellent sound quality you get Enough Bass with great Mids & Highs also keep in mind these aren't noise canceling but they do cover up the background noise very well and not to mention better quality compared to beats headphones or other comparable units, and these work very well with my iPad mini, Macbook air, iPod nano (7th Gen) I hope you'll consider purchasing a pair as well you won't regret that excellent BOSE sound Best Regards :-) [ VINCE Mar 26, 2014 ]
Greetings Shawn G, I just tested mine just now on my iMac it'll pair up but it won't play music through it freely it'll skip and break up I don't know if it may because that I'm running an apple bluetooth wireless mouse and bluetooth wireless keyboard but it most certainly had worked perfectly on my iPad mini and macbook air and iPod nano 7th generation w/ bluetooth feature built in but please don't let this stop you from purchasing these headphones they rock and the sound is great with good bass response and beautiful mids and enough highs now at the beginning before my purchase I was on the fence about purchasing these pair of headphones because i've tried the other similar model to this but wired those other pair had underwhelming and not very exciting sound quality bass was lacking terribly but this bluetooth set is much better due to the fact that bose has it's own special proprietary sound processor built in within that bluetooth module! I hope you'll consider purchasing yours you won't regret the sound quality :-) Best Regards [ VINCE Mar 26, 2014 ]
Yes, all you have to do to check is look on the settings to be sure bluetooth is turned on. Then the headphones scan for bluetooth and once paired, they will appear on the bluetooth menu every time (you will see Bose AE2w on the list of available bluetooth devices). Blutooth is pretty far-reaching, too. These really are great earphones. [ Diana Mar 26, 2014 ]
I do not have an iMac but it shows to have Bluetooth , should work just fine. I use it with an iPad and an iPhone and it works great [ Eldon Mar 26, 2014 ]
I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: The Sony HT-CT260 will allow you to stream Bluetooth audio to the sound bar, but not from it, so it will not work with Bluetooth headphones. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. [ Krissy Mar 11, 2014 ] Staff
Yes [ Leslie Mar 09, 2014 ]
Thanks [ Leslie Mar 09, 2014 ]
if it is a Bluetooth transmitter it should pair with these headphones. [ GEORGIOS Mar 08, 2014 ]
If your tv has Bluetooth capability, then these headphones should connect. I don't have a Sony tv so I'm not sure if the Sony transmitter will work. Crutchfield should be able to assist with your question. They are good source of information. [ ENEYDA Feb 24, 2014 ]
I tried these headphones out myself but did not like them as they did not appear to be noise-cancelling which is what i want when on a plane. For using with a TV, i would think the TV must be capable of receiving a blu-ray signal to connect. [ JOHN M Feb 24, 2014 ]
They work great on my iPhone and iPad. I haven't tried them on my Sony TV. [ SAM Feb 24, 2014 ]
The rs180 probably has a better sound and a longer range, but it will not do Bluetooth . The wireless transmitter has to be plugged into the source . The Bose AE2w will connect to two devices, I use it with my iPad and iPhone. When a call comes the music stops and you can answer the phone, when you hang up the music continues. [ Eldon Feb 04, 2014 ]
hmmm, I have not had the RS180. But these are comfortable, seem to have excellent sound quality and I am totally happy with them. [ Diana Feb 04, 2014 ]
Yes these Bose headphones can be paired to any Bluetooth device. They are great. I have my headphones paired with my phone, Samsung 3 tablet, ipod as well as my kindle fire tablet. [ ENEYDA Jan 20, 2014 ]
If the other devices are Bluetooth compatible. I have mine paired to my desktop computer and my Android cell phone. [ TIMOTHY J Jan 20, 2014 ]
we have it paired to a droid phone & galaxy tablet. [ STANLEY Jan 20, 2014 ]
I don't know...all I have is apple products. You may want to contact tech support [ Jose Jan 20, 2014 ]
AHH I LOVE WIRELESS HEADPHONE,S MOST BOSE WIRELESS HEADPHONE,S ARE COMPATABLE IF THEY ARE BOSE ALSO I SUGGEST YOU TRY NOISE CANCELING HEADPHONE,S THER GREAT ON THE TRAIN PLAIN OR JUST TO GET RID OF THE NOISE [ ROBERT P Jan 27, 2014 ]
I have a pair of Bose 'wired" AE2 headphones and just tried the wireless module on them and it worked fine. [ TIMOTHY J Jan 20, 2014 ]
We did not try that approach and returned out units after the first use. I thought we could both be hooked up at the same time to our PC on the plane so that we both could watch a movie at the same time. This did not work. Other other Bose headsets are better so we returned the wireless version. [ JOHN M Jan 20, 2014 ]
Not sure...tech support may have the answer... [ Jose Jan 20, 2014 ]
