The Bose® CineMate® 15 home theater speaker system features a compact sound bar that fits easily on any TV stand or shelf.

Rich, full sound from a compact system

Bose CineMate 15 home theater speaker system

The CineMate® 15's Acoustimass® module delivers powerful bass response to complement the sound bar's clear detail.

The CineMate® 15's compact sound bar is only a bar in performance — not in size. Its design resembles a smaller center channel speaker you'd see in a large multi-speaker system. Bose® TrueSpace® technology allows this speaker to deliver clear, spacious sound without taking up much space. It easily fits in front of your TV and is perfect for more narrow stands or shelf systems. The bass is left to the Acoustimass® module, which serves up the low-frequency sounds that are crucial to giving movie soundtracks realism and dynamic punch. Together, they add excitement and drama to everything from movie nights to everyday TV watching. Plus, you'll be able to understand dialogue like never before.

Fast setup with a single-cable connection to your TV

Think this system is complicated to set up? No way — Bose® specializes in making easy-to-use products. The sound bar connects to your TV with a single cable — two different cables are included, ensuring this system works with most any TV. The Acoustimass® module connects to the sound bar with another included cable. Plug in the power cord, and you're done.

No more remote roulette

You won't need to line up a bunch of remotes to control your TV and other components with the Bose® CineMate® 15. It comes with a programmable universal remote, so it can operate your TV, Blu-ray player, cable box, and other components as well as the CineMate® 15.

Features

CineMate 15 Home Theater System: The CineMate 15 Home Theater Speaker System offers spacious home theater sound from a compact soundbar speaker and hide-away Acoustimass module. The CineMate 15 system connects directly to your flat-panel HDTV, with no additional AV receiver required. Exclusive Bose innovations enable wide, spacious sound that extends well beyond the soundbar speaker's physical size. The included wired Acoustimass module adds big bass-notes to your movies, music, and games; while it is neatly tucked away from view. The CineMate 15 Home Theater Speaker System is all controlled with a simplified universal IR remote.

Soundbar Speaker w/ TruSpace Technology: The Bose CineMate 15's soundbar speaker employs a four speaker array along with proprietary TruSpace technology to produce a full, spacious sound that is wider than the TV screen. The result is a greater dynamic sound from your favorite TV shows and movies. The soundbar speaker uses the reflective surfaces of the room to deliver a spacious home theater experience. To ensure optimal audio performance, the soundbar should be placed equidistant from each side wall and directly in front-center of the TV. No objects should be placed on either side of the soundbar, nor should it be placed inside a cabinet, as this would result in a limited sound stage.

Note: The soundbar speaker features an attached 9.75' proprietary cable that plugs in the system's Acoustimass module.

Acoustimass Module w/ Bass Control: The Acoustimass module works in concert with the soundbar speaker to deliver full-range sound. The patented Bose design produces deep low frequencies with no audible distortion. The rear-panel bass control knob on the Acoustimass module allows you to change the bass level output of the system. When the module is tucked behind a curtain or chair, all of the sound seems to come directly from the soundbar speaker. For best sound quality, the Acoustimass module should be placed on the floor against the same wall as the television and soundbar, with an electrical outlet nearby for the power cord. The module should not be placed on a shelf or table.

Analog + Digital Inputs: The Bose CineMate 15 speaker system is fitted with two digital inputs (optical/coaxial) and one stereo analog input (RCA), so you can connect virtually any TV; all audio connections are found on back of the soundbar speaker. The optical and coaxial digital inputs support 2ch PCM and Dolby Digital. To enjoy the full benefit of hearing audio through the Bose CineMate system, the internal speakers in your TV should be turned off.

Note: The digital optical output terminals of most newer flat-panel TVs only send an audio signal in 5.1ch when receiving Dolby Digital surround sound from the TV's built-in tuner, network connection, or connected USB device; and will output only 2ch stereo from sources connected to the TV via HDMI, or RCA (like your Blue-ray/DVD player or satellite/cable box).

Universal Remote Control: The Bose CineMate 15 includes an IR universal remote control for wireless operation of the speaker system. You can also program the universal remote to control your TV, DVD, Blu-ray Disc player, cable/satellite box, game system, or DVR. You can also program most other manufacturer universal remote controllers to operate the Bose CineMate 15 system.

Auto Power Off: The CineMate 15 system will automatically power off after one hour if no audio signal is present.

Q
Could you connect this to a Sonos Connect or Connect:AMP to use with other SONOS speakers?
jason  Jun 22, 2016
1 answer
A
Yes, you could use one of the audio inputs on the Bose CineMate 15 home theater speaker system to plug in a Sonos CONNECT (no need for the CONNECT:AMP in this case) which would allow you to wirelessly stream music and communicate with other Sonos speakers in your home. I hope that helps! My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=159

Q
Is it possible to purchase a longer cable/wire to put the sound bar across the ceiling on a bulkhead in the room that we actually sit it?
john  Feb 11, 2016

A
We do not have one and I cannot find a longer cable or extension listed on Bose's web site either. I don't see this being possible. Feel free to call an advisor on 1-800-324-9695 for help with finding a bar that will work for you.

Q
Could we use this system with our Bose radio and cd player and tv?
chris  Jan 16, 2016
1 answer
A
The CineMate 15 offers several audio inputs so, if you have one of the Bose Wave Radio models that offers an audio output, you should be able to connect it to and hear it play though the CineMate 15, yes. I hope that helps! My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=5

Q
How large a room is the CineMate 15 designed for?
dan  Nov 13, 2015
1 answer
A
I am not sure how large you could go and still be efficient, but here is my living room arrangement. The size is 13' wide by 23' long, t.v. and center speaker in the center of the 13'. Base is offset 7'6". Seating is 14' and 18' away from speakers and t.v. and the sound is very clear and music is excellent. I would recommend this system to anyone to get better sound from your t.v. Excellent product and in my opinion the best place to buy electronics. Gordon.
