Cinemate Works Fine!

We have a small place and didn't want the clutter of speakers and cables, so we chose the Bose Cinemate. Easy to set up, and I bought a switch box to handle the DVD, Tivo, and MP3 player. We now have it hooked to a Sony Bravia and play MP3s through the TV. Keep in mind that the quality of your sound is going to depend heavily on your cable provider. Nice lows from the sub-woofer, and the drivers can be surprising excellent at times with the sound seemingly coming from beside us.

We very much enjoy our Bose Cinemate. Great quality system and extremely easy to set up. Bose has a long-standing reputation of offering quality products so I would never be afraid to purchase anything by Bose.

Ok product.... overpriced however

My wife wasn't interested in my big speakers for the living room, so we settled on the Bose because it was small and unobtrusive.
A huge improvement over the sound of the Samsung LCD speakers.... but it ends there. This system is all mids. And because of the only location we could hide the Acoustimass it ended up being very "boomy." Voices were muddled.... stuffing a sock halfway into the bass module fixed that.
Overall: WAY overpriced. Sounds decent and is small enough not to be an "eyesore" of electronics.... but like most Bose gear the sound is ultimately marginal.

Good Vibes

The sound from my flat screen TV was awful. The most irritating thing was that, often movie dialog was unintelligible. The sound from the Bose Cinemate is a huge improvement. Easy listening, easy to hookup. As a bonus, the included universal remote ties everything together for easy operation.

Bose® CineMate® system

I bought this system and decided to return it. Has fairly nice sound for just those two speakers but is really lacking in bass from the acoutimass module. I liked the way it sounded in the store but in the home i was dissapointed. It does have easy setup and you dont need a reciever since it has rca's that plug directly into your tv. For the price though, I think that youd be happier with something else. I would not recommend this product.
