Desktop convenience

Bose's TrueSpace® signal processing is the key — it creates a broad soundstage from speakers spaced no further apart than the width of your computer monitor or laptop. You'll hear improved warmth and detail from your MP3s and streaming audio, and added punch from your computer games and DVDs. Two sets of audio inputs let you hook up an additional source, like a portable MP3 player, without having to disconnect the speakers from your computer. A handy front-panel headphone jack makes private headphone listening easy for those times when you don't wish to disturb others.

Clear, crisp loud sound. We listen to a lot of Pandora on these speakers and never disappointed. Great value. Top notch customer service at Crutchfield.

Bose PC Speakers

Written by: Larry C from Pittsburgh, PA on July 27, 2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I needed speakers to improve the sound of my Toshiba laptop. I decided to spend the money and get Bose, my first Bose purchase. The sound is very balanced and full for such a small footprint speaker. Bass is somewhat weak but entirely acceptable. Only negatives are no light for speakers when they are off or on and short cord for connection between pc and speakers. I bought a ten foot cord to correct this. These speakers fill up a small room with full vibrant sound and are worthy of the Bose name. I have no complaints about these speakers. Most people will be entirely satisfied with them.

Pros: Smooth balanced sound and a tremendous improvement over small pc speakers.

Cons: No on off light and short cord between pc and speakers. These are very minor complaints.

More than expected!

I bought these to replace a fairly old set of Infinity speakers, and they sound great. Surprising bass and clean the rest of the way. I am very please with these speakers, and now wish I had purchased them sooner. You won't be disappointed.

Pros: Full rich sound, compact size.

Cons: None.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Been looking for good set of computer speakers for a long time. I have always wanted a "nice" set but just couldn't bring myself to spend $250 on speakers again. Also my table doesn't allow me to have big speakers. I bought these to replace a set of Klipsch I bought online at a different retailer a year ago. The Klipsch where fine just old and abused. These Bose are a step above and beyond. Reset my EQ on my computer and I have the nice tight bass and all around good sound I've been wanting. They get louder than anything I've had in a long time. Perfect for my bedroom. Good little punchy speakers. Sure the money I spent is a bit of cash but wow these sound so good. Thinking of trying these on my TV to just see how it sounds. Just to clarify my computer is currently my home system. I listen to all my music off my computer.

Pros: small footprint, well built feel. Big presence

Cons: Nothing

Unusual Application

Written by: RFox from Michiana on December 13, 2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased the Bose Companion 2 Series III speakers to fortify my Sony Bravia flat screen in my bedroom. I had been using a set of PC speakers, but my home is about a mile from an AM radio station and I was hearing the station coming through the old speakers. The Bose speakers arrived without drama and on time. I got them hooked up and thought I would need to send them back. The frequency response of these speakers is definitely nowhere near flat, with a huge peak in the lower midrange producing a boominess that makes me wish for some tone controls to address this. The high end is somewhat subdued and not as bright as the previous speakers I was using. I'm sticking with these for now, but I am looking for a reasonable self-amplified satellite / subwoofer speaker system to replace the Bose.

Pros: Compact size, two audio inputs, good volume levels, low noise floor, solid connections, no distracting power LED.

Cons: Booming lower midrange, high-end roll off, no tone controls

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought a set of these speakers after reading numerous positive reviews about them. After having them for a while I think I made a wise decision. Im not a Bose fanboy by any means, but these speakers sound pretty good for such a small footprint. The sound is warm and clear, and the midbass is pretty stout also. I have these setup in a small corner cubicle and I think this helps add to the overall sound and performance I am getting from the speakers. They are far from the best sounding speakers I have heard, but for the price point, I think they are the best deal out there. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

Pros: Warm, clear sound, small footprint

Cons: No tone controls

Feel the music like never before!!

Written by: Manan from New York on October 8, 2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

There are not enough words to describe how incredible these speakers sound. There is so much depth to the music, you can hear all the instruments with such clarity and it brings the music alive. I have owned the Logitech Z2300, but the quality of music from the Bose far surpasses that of Logitech's. The vocals are crisp, with fine separation of highs and mids and adequate presence of lows. I don't want to repeats what hundreds of reviews on this product have already said, but I couldn't have asked for more from Bose in this price range.

Pros: - impressive sound stage - low price (considering its from Bose)

Cons: - often forget to turn the speaker off since there is no light indicator

Bose Quality as always

Written by: Robert from Texas on September 28, 2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought these speakers for use with a laptop. I had some small laptop speakers but they lacked the necessary base. The Bose speakers, although they are small, feature that pleasant bass that my ears love. But these speakers don't match the quality of larger Bose speakers. The size and sound of the small Bose speakers you will like with a laptop. Easy to carry on a trip and not much packing room needed.

Pros: The small footprint of the speakers which have excellent sound. I also use the aux in for my small Grace Internet Radio.

Cons: None that I know.

Great Quality; Low Price

Pros: These are excellent speakers; much better quality than I expected for the price. The instructions were easy to follow. The speakers are small in size so they fit in easily with all the other items surrounding my monitor. In addition, they fit in well with the other system components. I'm glad that I purchased them and glad I purchased them from Crutchfield.

Cons: none

Pros: Good sounding, compact

Cons:

Overrated

Written by: Manu from Fairfield, ia on July 3, 2015

They have good bass for their size, but highs are lacking, and their hardware is built with cables that you cannot replace. When these go out (and they will), rather than replace the cable you have to buy a whole new set of speakers.

Pros: Good Bass

Cons: Muddy highs, bad hardware that isn't a replaceable component.

Bose Companion 2 series III

Written by: dtc from mi on April 14, 2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These speakers work great for what I needed. Been doing some music downloads, and wanted a better presentation of what I have been doing over the tinny factory speakers that came with my pc. You can't go wrong with any Bose equipment----always quality. Plus these babies aren't space hogs either----another plus. Nice full sound for not having to use a sub. No complaints here.

Pros: Quality, sound, and size.

Cons: No separate volume adjustments for each speaker. one adjustment for both as a pair. No power light to instantly let you know if they are on or off.

Companion 2 Series III

Written by: BobS from Illinois on February 19, 2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Very pleased with the sound quality. Based upon some reviews, I was not expecting as much bass reproduction as I'm hearing from these, which is better than that produced by the older Companion 2 Series I that I'm using on another laptop. Either the Series III is that much improved in sound quality or the sound card settings are that much better on the laptop the Series III are connected to. Maybe a bit of both, but I'm glad I purchased these from Crutchfield.

Pros: Almost everything.

Cons: Almost none, except that I wish Bose would design a similar priced speaker system that connects and is powered via USB.

I've had these speakers for about a week, easy set up. They are smaller than I thought, yet powerful and have the AUX input that I needed, hooked them up to a mixer and use the speakers as my main speakers for my whole system, if tire not looking directly at then you'd think they were much bigger, due to the crisp clear sound they put out- I love them

Pros: Aux input

Cons: Smaller than I thought, but you'll,forget that....the sounds great

GREAT SOUND

Written by: RCW from NEWPORT, ME on December 27, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased these to replace a pair of computer speakers that came with a circa 1998 computer that had a separate bass unit. I had carried them over with subsequent computer purchases. The bass unit measured 11"x11"x5"H so took up a lot of space. Could not be more pleased with the purchase. A truly great sound.for such small speakers.

Pros: A compact set of speakers with great overall sound and an excellent bass. Love them.

Cons: The computer to speaker mini patch audio cable only measures 3'. Because of my restrict set up, I need about 6'. I called Bose about it and they are sending out me out a 6' cable at no charge. Great Bose CS.

I spend a lot of time on YouTube searching out old songs, and these Bose speakers have really brought YT to life. I had a pair of Boston Acoustics speakers, and the Bose just blows them away.....You won't be unhappy with these ! And, they look great on the desk !!!

Pros: Great sound....very good bass....they look great....

Awesome Sound from Small Footprint!

Written by: BrianS from Illinois on December 18, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

If you are looking for a small set of speakers with big sound, and want to avoid buying a system that depends on a subwoofer the size of a small refrigerator, you will really like these speakers. I wanted to avoid a 2+1 system or a two-speaker system with bookshelf sized speakers without compromising on sound quality. These do the job. The speakers are about 3"x6"x8" each and put out enough volume to satisfy any listener within 10-15 feet without taking up all your desk space. Excellent bass and treble, balanced, and detailed sound of even the smallest of background sounds in a movie track. The on/off switch is built into the volume control. There is no power-on light, but I don't believe these speakers draw much, if any power without a line-in signal since they use the newer styled power adapter that doesn't draw phantom power. My only gripe is that the length of the line in cord between the speakers and PC is too short. It should be at least 6'. A really nice system at a great price.

Pros: Lots of Bass. Detailed and balanced sound. Good volume. Small Footprint.

Cons: Line in cord is too short.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have been looking for some way to make music from my laptop louder and better quality. I didn't have a clue what I needed, but I got a little email saying "by the way, these speakers are on sale this week". I was totally confident that a Crutchfield/Bose combination would have to be great. I really depend on these guys to understand my needs and give me good advice. They have always been so friendly and helpful when I have called to ask questions or need suggestions. Trust is rare these days and these guys have earned mine. I knew that the speakers would be a great deal for the price. I wouldn't even know enough to appreciate the added features of something more expensive. I played an Anthony & The Johnson's song straight off of the internet; first without the speakers and then with them. He was as as amazed at the difference as I was. I didn't know what I was missing.

Pros: Excellent price (and on sale) for the quality of the speakers. I love the particular sound of Bose (I have the headphones) so the bass is perfect for me. Easy hook up and store easily when not connected. I find myself listening to a lot more music while I am doing other things since I get great quality sound with the flexibility of not being tied to headphones. This is an outstanding product and perfect for me. Getting the email saving me money was just the kicker!

Cons: I didn't know about them sooner.

I really Like these little speakers

Written by: Joe from CR, IA on December 9, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I really like these little speakers. They are inexpensive, well built and sound great. I bought a pair of series II a year or so back for my laptop and needed a pair for a crappy little TV in my kitchen. Plug them into the wall, plug them into the TV or whatever and done. Easy-breezy

Pros: Inexpensive, great value

Cons: If you want high-high-end sound then spend high-end money. There are no cons for these speakers when viewed through a value filter.

Best sounding hundred dollar speakers I've ever owned, on sale. I'm 64, I've owned a few, great overall quality. Next price level for the audio quality is 3-4 hundred dollars, after that 6-8 hundred dollars. Perfect for listening to I-tunes through my lap-top. Thanx Also, I thought free second day delivery was a mistake. I live on Maui, speakers were shipped from Illinois, arrived second day UPS, couldn't believe it. No charge

Definite + for Computer Speakers

Written by: Bill from Washington on November 10, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Definitely Sound Fills the Room. I upgraded my speakers with a subwoofer to the Bose Companion III. Setup was quick & easy, computer recognized the device immediately. The lack of treble and bass knobs requires some getting use to but the sound generated is fantastic. I would highly recommend this speaker system as an upgrade to the standard speakers provided with the computer.

Pros: Compact and space saving. Superior sound quality. Economically priced.

Cons: Lacks treble and bass control knobs

Great product

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I originally purchased the II of this model and was having some bad luck. Multiple sites and nothing but poor outcomes. I decided to go with the III that were $10 from a company that knows how to treat customers. The product arrived very quickly unlike S*!sC&%b. The product was immaculate, they sound and work perfect! I am very pleased with the product and Crutchfield, of course, handled the order perfectly. Not sure why I tried to find a better deal and found nothing but frustration. I paid $10 more and got a newer model. I am happy with the product and experience shopping with Crutchfield!

Pros: Install is very simple. The sound is great from 2 speakers that do not need a separate sub. The sound is very clear and with the true room, it sounds great any where in the room. Or my office which is where they are currently set up. The series II had the silver metal front, I very much like the look of the III and feel that they look better on my desk than the series II would have. I am very pleased with the sound from speakers of this size, what you would expect from Bose.

Cons: I was not looking for this option, but they are not wireless. If this is what you are looking for, you will need to look at another model. No other Cons thus far.

Bose Companion 2, Series III review

Written by: rbperreten from Bonners Ferry, ID on October 2, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great sound in a small package! These things have a definite "base" without an additional sub-woofer. Fir their cost, as well as their small size, the sound out put of these speakers is amazing. Like most things Bose, they are extremely durable and well made, out of quality materials. Now,don't get me wrong, these are no substitute for a full size system, but it's too inconvenient to lug a full size set of speakers around for a laptop computer, and the sound out put of these, especially for the cost, is absolutely amazing.

Pros: Durable construction, of quality materials. Sall, compact size, good sound quality and response.

Cons: No remote, no substitute for full size speakers, and some may not liker the perceived enhanced base response.

Great Sound from Quality Small Speakers

Written by: JoeA from Clemmons, NC on April 7, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The Bose Company makes consistent quality products and these small speakers give me the great sound that I was seeking. I could not believe how much clarity and bass they provide with music or just listening to a speech. I highly recommend this Bose product for your computer or other sound needs and at a great price too. I have been investing in Bose products since 1977. They still deliver what you pay for....

Pros: Great size to fit my space needs but super sound quality to enjoy in my everyday listening needs. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I don't have a lot of money to spend, but at the same time I'm very picky about how my music sounds. I test every piece of music equipment I get against Queen's "March of the Black Queen" and these had me clapping my hands together in joy and shouting "yeah!!!" right off the bat. These speakers were definitely the right item at the right price. They replaced a set of travel speakers which were tinny (to say the least) so I was aware that nearly anything would sound better, but I couldn't believe I could get Bose at this price and I'm glad I sprung for them. The sound seems a bit bass-heavy to me but not enough to make me give a bad review. And I could have been influenced by the nearly complete lack of bass on the preceding speakers. All in all, I'm very pleased with this purchase. I know others have complained about the length of the wiring, but it works fine for me. I like that I can crank these all the way up without experiencing any serious sound issues.

I am hard of hearing, but I love to listen to music when I am working in my home office. I was seeking speakers where I could push the volume and use a quite detailed and personalized equalizer in iTunes to give my ears a coherent sound. These speakers absolutely fit the bill. I can hear the music clearly and when I push them to provide a larger sound, they respond quite well. I am very pleased with these speakers and especially think they are well worth the reasonable price I paid.

Bose Companion 2 series 3 multimedia speakers

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I connected these speakers to a 40 inch flat screen TV to improve sound from behind my living room couch as a surround sound type effect and they added a nice clear sound . A really great way to inexpensively fill your living room with sound to make hearing any kind of TV program better .

Pros: Simple to hook up and after initial setting up volume I have not had to readjust the volume control settings on the speakers and control all sound through the TV volume .

Cons: I did have to run a wire from the back of the TV to the speakers but I think it gives a cleaner sound than wireless type speakers that I have tried before and don't get any static from other electrical devices like a ceiling fan motor.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I am very happy with my new Bose speakers. They make my laptop sound like a very expensive stereo system while streaming my favorite music.

Pros: Compact, wonderful sound, easy to use.

Cons: More wires to deal with, but that's life in the electronic age.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this to replace Logitech speakers that I felt did not have enough treble.

Pros: Superb sound and depth (I did not understand what depth meant until I bought these. Sounds like music is coming from between my speakers. I like loud music and 75% has been good with these so far so lots of power. Overall based on sound quality for the money they are good. If you have more to spend then check other options.

Cons: Extremely short cords. No power on light so you do not know it is still on. Not the cheapest speakers. No way too change sound balance eg treble.

Best Computer Speakers I've Ever Owned

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I recently upgraded to a Windows 8 computer, which was my first computer that came without speakers. I had been using my Bose headphones because I wasn't sure which speakers to buy. My TV and music players all play through Bose speakers, but I never knew Bose made speakers for computer use. A couple of weeks ago I received an email from Crutchfield advertising the Bose Companion 2 Series III multimedia speaker system. As soon as I read the description, I knew I had to try them. It was a surprisingly low price for a Bose product. Plus, I had nothing to lose, because I knew I could return them if I didn't like them. I ordered them, and they arrived in just a few days. As soon as I plugged them in, i knew I had made the right choice. The sound is terrific, and I was surprised at how compact the speakers are. I could not be more pleased, with both the speakers and Crutchfield's price and service.

Got these speakers for my mom's t.v. to replace an old set of cpu speakers she had. Hooked em up on christrmas and have heard nothing but praise. "these sound so good", " I can hear things I never heard before when I watch my shows". Not a lot of bass but still a nice quality set for what its used for. Crutchfield deserves props too.... best price, free shipping and it was here in 3 days, awesome!

Pros: great sound, small footprint, aux in

Cons: none so far

Happy with Big Sound from a Small Package!

Written by: Kool J from Salem, OR on December 26, 2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I got these for watching movies on my laptop/IPod. I expected them to sound ok, but not this good! I almost went with the JBL set for the same price. No regrets here what so ever. The sound is crisp and warm, with bass being more than satisfactory, especially when watching movies/Netflix. If your into big bass, then get a sub. For the price, you get big sound from something small. I think they sound good now, though I'm hoping they will sound better after I call Crutchfield back and take them up on their Monster cable recommendation!

Pros: Easy to use. Compact and great for on the go.

Cons: None.

Got these for my wife. She did not want a subwoofer, and wanted great sound in a compact speaker. These fit the bill perfectly! The bass response is actually very good with the rear ports. I'm very impressed!

Pros: Great sound at a great price!

Cons: I've heard that the power supply can fail, but we shall wait and see. I'm sure we can replace that easily if needed.

Just what I needed.

I saw this speaker system, saw the name and saw the price. I figured I'd go for it. I was NOT disappointed. I also like the "auxiliary in" feature.

Pros: Big sound. Clear and articulate along with good bass response. Doesn't take up a lot of room. Stylish appearance. Very affordable.

Cons: Wish it had some kind of pilot light. (They look cool.)

Being a fan of Bose, I purchased these to use with my clock radio (Sharper Image), as I like to listen to classical music at night and wanted better sound. Wow! Very impressed! As suggested by another reviewer, I also purchased a monster cable and that has made a difference in the sound quality as well. Others have complained about the bass, or lack of, but I have no complaints, I think the base is fine. I'm also impressed with Crutchfield - will be my "go-to" for electronics from now on!

Pros: Great quality sound

If your looking for a multi purpose set if speakers with excellent quality, look no further. These speakers are great for computers, TV, games, movies and of course music. The sound quality is second to none and look great on a desk top.

Pros: Stylish, loud, extremely good quality and balance, not too expensive.

Cons: If your going for unbelievable bass, not quite for you. Bose says in a letter that bass is not accentuated, rather they go for quality. They still do have a great though

I am some what of an audiophile and I found these speakers for my desk lap top to be perfect size and sound quality. Bill Evans, Milt Jackson etc. sounds very good even with out a sub woofer. Well designed. I may buy another pair to use in my garage with my MP3 player while working in there.

Pros: Great sound, quality build and good size for desk. Everything is included in the box to interface with your computer. I feel also it is a good value. Two audio inputs are a good idea.

Cons: Power supply is a little large in size put produces no audio hum.

Features

Powered Computer Speakers: The Bose Companion 2 is a two-piece computer speaker system (Left & Right speakers) that reproduces full, natural sound at your computer. The Bose Companion 2 will dramatically improve the audio from your computer, while its sleek, space-saving design complements your computer environment.

TrueSpace Technology: The Bose Companion 2 speaker system features TrueSpace stereo signal processing circuitry. This proprietary technology helps maximize audio performance by widening the image of closely placed speakers, making the audio seem to come from a soundstage wider than the two speakers.

Ported Cabinets: Each speaker features a rear-panel 3/4" diameter port to provide clearer, deeper bass from a small enclosure.

Automatic Tone Adjustment: The Companion 2 speakers automatically adjusts the tonal balance to give you rich audio performance at practically any listening level.

Dual Inputs: The Bose Companion 2 has two 3.5mm aux inputs. These dual analog inputs allow you keep the speakers hooked up to your computer, while you use the second input to hook up another source, such as a portable audio device. The dual 3.5mm aux inputs are located on the back of the same speaker. One 46" stereo audio minijack cable is included.

Headphone Jack: The right speaker is fitted with a front-panel 3.5mm headphone output; the speakers are muted when headphones are plugged in.

Tethered Speaker Connection: The left speaker features an attached 6' audio cable with a proprietary connector which plugs into the rear-panel proprietary port on back of the rear speaker (labeled "To Left Speaker").

Volume Control: The volume control is conveniently located on the front of the right speaker, giving you easy access. On your computer or an optional sound source, set the volume at about two-thirds the maximum volume. Then use the knob on the right speaker to adjust the volume as you listen.

Angled Design + Magnetically Shielded: The angled design of these speakers allows them to direct sound upward toward a seated listener. So placing them on a desktop is a good choice. Magnetic shielding protects your computer monitor from interference when the speakers are positioned close to it.

AC Power Supply: The Bose Companion 2 operates off of standard household AC current using the supplied AC power adapter. The AC power adapter plugs into the back of the right speaker.

  • Input: 100-240V ~ 50/60Hz, 600mA
  • Output: 12V - 1800mA

No doubt because of the BOSE name and that I sound tested in a BOSE store. Replacing a pretty decent CREATIVE LABS T2900 sub system that's 6 years old. Excellent sound but sub distorts, even after trimming, at mid to peak volume. I was going to order from Amazon at same price with free ship but I just think Crutchfield is benchmark for Audio/Video expertise. [ James  Feb 28, 2016 ]
I was looking in Google for a SONY Multimedia System, but couldn't find any in the US, and got a hit from Google for your Superb BOSE System. They look almost like my sister BOSE System, which Sounded Great. I am praying that they will Sound Great too with my SONY VAIO ! Thank you very much, Crutchfield ! awesome for the price! [ DAVID G  Jan 05, 2015 ]
I assume that they stay on. There is no indicator light, which would be nice... I usually try to keep them turned off when not in use. [ GARY M  Jan 05, 2015 ]
I do not believe the unit powers down. However I would imagine it draws very little current when not active. These are very good speakers. I use them all day at work. [ charles  Jan 05, 2015 ]
Hey Marc, The speakers are on all the time unless you turn the knob counter clockwise to power them off, However, if left on and there is no active input signal received, there will not be an annoying sound. So you can leave them turned on at all times, since the volume/mute/sound controls can be controlled through whatever device is connected to the speakers. I hope this helps. [ J.  Jan 04, 2015 ]
The volume knob when turned all the way to the left is the on/off switch. To answer your question if the switch is on all the time the speakers are powered. [ BARRY J  Jan 04, 2015 ]
I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: I am unaware of any extension for the left speaker audio cable. Bose uses a proprietary connection for that. If they make one, you are probably going to need to get it from Bose. You can contact their service and parts department at 800-367-4008. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. [ Krissy  Jul 21, 2014 ]  Staff
Yes, they'll plug into any device with a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack. [ Vincent  Apr 09, 2014 ]
The speakers plug into anything with the small audio out plug like a headphone out plug .they work on my Apple IPad headphone plug and I have them plugged into the same sized audio out plug on the back of my flat screen TV . [ MICHAEL J  Mar 17, 2014 ]
Hi Dale: I don't know. These are self powered speakers that accept only 1/8 inch stereo jack. So I don't see how to connect the Kindle to them. [ Harry  Mar 16, 2014 ]
If ur kindle has a audio out put then answer to ur question is yes. [ GERARDA  Mar 16, 2014 ]
I am not 100% sure but I don't see why it shouldn't as it's power source is totally independent of your Kindle. [ FRED  Mar 16, 2014 ]
I am not familiar with the kindle, however if it has a headphone "out" plug in like on your computer or almost everything else now a days it will work and sound sweet [ ROBERT  Mar 16, 2014 ]
No idea. Don't have a Kindle and you did not say which model you have. Seems there are several models with different possibilities. I'm using my speakers for computer. [ Beverly  Mar 16, 2014 ]
yes if your kindle has an audio out earphone jack . [ MARVIN  Mar 16, 2014 ]
Everything you need to connect these to the headphone jack on your computer will be included. [ Vincent  Apr 09, 2014 ]
Open the box and hook them up. It's as easy as that. They are great speakers I use when watching blu-rays on my computer or listening to music. Great for gaming too. [ Chris  Mar 01, 2014 ]
Everything is included in the box to hook it up to your laptop. [ Jared  Feb 28, 2014 ]
Everything you need is in the box. You can definitely hook these up to your laptop and be ready to listen immediately. There are some options you can consider in the future: e.g.- You can buy a longer cable if you want to spread the speakers out farther than 6 feet. Or you can buy an extra cable if you want to leave the speakers hooked to your laptop while attaching a MP3 player to the auxiliary input. [ Mark  Feb 28, 2014 ]
There is a basic mini-plug to mini-plug cable in the box that should suffice. If you want a higher-end cable, look at the Monster Cable AI 800 MINI-7. Good computer speakers! [ Russell  Feb 27, 2014 ]
Sorry. I bought as gift and don't know. [ RICK  Feb 27, 2014 ]
Everything's in the box: power supply, speaker-to-speaker cable, and a stereo cable that links the control speaker to the 1/8" headphone jack on your laptop. [ Vincent  Feb 27, 2014 ]
Yes, everything is in the box and ready to go. However you may want to buy a longer audio cable that connects to the computer. [ weldon  Feb 27, 2014 ]
Everything you need is in the box. UNLESS, you plan on adding something else (ie. mp3 player, etc.), then you would need a cable. [ GREG  Feb 27, 2014 ]
Everything is indeed included. The Audio input cable plugs right into the headphone jack of the laptop or PC. It is a short cable----only around 36 inches; I'm sure it can be extended with any standard compatible cable. The system has an awesome sound, you will love it! W [ WILLIAM  Feb 27, 2014 ]
My wife was extremely pleased with the Bose Speakers. From unwraping her birthday present and cranking up the quality sound system was less than 5 minutes. Everything you will need is there. [ DAVID G  Feb 27, 2014 ]
Everything is in the box and they are a great set of speakers by the way. [ Eric  Feb 27, 2014 ]
Everything was with it . Had it up & running within 5 minutes. That even including her unwraping the birthday paper! [ DAVID G  Feb 27, 2014 ]
Everything we needed to connect to our desktop was in the box! Great speaker system, Great sound! [ BARRY M  Feb 27, 2014 ]
I bought the speaker set as a Xmas gift for my daughter across the country where they were shipped direct. She is very happy with them and, as far as I know, did not have to buy any add'l material. [ David  Feb 27, 2014 ]
Everything you will need is in the box. I use these on my laptop and they sound much better than the laptop speakers! [ Hugh  Feb 27, 2014 ]
Package is complete. Nothing else required for hook-up. Speakers are top quality, good sound. [ CALVIN  Feb 27, 2014 ]
Yes, everything I needed was included. The system has three cables included, AC power, cable to other speaker, and mini-RCA (I think its called) to connect to my PC. This is a great speaker set, I am very happy with it. I use them all day while I work at my PC. [ charles  Feb 27, 2014 ]
I bought these with the intention of using on my new laptop and is just recently discoverer I have not been able to use yet because the laptop is equipped with Windows 8 and I can't do a thing with it. If I had bothered to check my desktop at work I would have realized we are on Microsoft Windows 7 Professional and that is what I should have bought likewise. I have to get in touch with HP tech yet to see if they can bring it down to Micro 7 remotely or if I have to buy the software and reinstall. I received new desktop last October and that has had me literally "learning how to walk all over again" because I have to go through more steps to do the same thing, such is life.... [ JOHN  Feb 27, 2014 ]
Everything is in box and ready to go. [ JAMES  Feb 27, 2014 ]
It is complete for your application. [ GREG  Feb 27, 2014 ]
Set the TV to a comfortable volume, then use the volume knob to adjust to the best listening level. [ Vincent  Apr 09, 2014 ]
I've only used the knob. Sadly there's no remote control device, [ OZELL  Mar 10, 2014 ]
I am currently using this pair of speakers on my computer, and I can adjust the volume thru the computer controls and the volume knob. As far as working with a TV, I think it will depend on the model of TV you have. On my flat screen, when I installed a speaker bar using a fiber optic cable, the out-put volume of the TV was locked in the middle of the volume range and I can only adjust the volume with the speaker remote. But that might just be my model of TV [ Raymond  Feb 22, 2014 ]
Set the TV volume at a comfortable listening level, then enhance the sound quality by turning on the Bose. Then when you adjust or mute the sound through the TV remote the input to the Bose speakers is affected and will adjust too. [ GARY  Feb 21, 2014 ]
I do not believe these speakers will work with TV volume. They are made for connection with a computer. But to answer your question more properly, please contact Bose product support on the web. [ Frank  Feb 21, 2014 ]
Either way. If you want to use the volume control on your computer or TV it's best to leave the volume on the speaker turned up high to allow full range from the source control. [ LYN D  Feb 21, 2014 ]
Mine are hooked up to my computer (Mac) and the speaker volume can be adjusted by changing the sound volume on my computer. [ BRIGITTE  Feb 21, 2014 ]
Only the knob on the speaker [ PETER  Feb 21, 2014 ]
I only have them hooked on my computer and you can do both...from the speaker anf media player. I assume that if you installed them directly on your tv they would act the same. [ ROBERTO  Feb 21, 2014 ]
Yes, power must be applied in order for these speakers to work. [ Vincent  Apr 09, 2014 ]
Yes, these speakers need to be plugged in to a wall outlet. They create nice powered sound which could not be generated by a computer plug in. [ JAVIER  Dec 27, 2013 ]
Yes, you will need to plug them in to an outlet. [ MARK A  Dec 27, 2013 ]
Yes [ Phil  Dec 27, 2013 ]
