Features

Overview: The Bose FS-01 Floor Stands support and complement the Bose 201 and 301 Direct/Reflecting bookshelf speakers, while providing additional options for their placement.

Materials: The base and top plates are made of sturdy black steel. The uprights are made of lightweight, titanium-colored aluminum.

Assembly: Each stand consists of 3 main parts: a base plate, a support, and a top plate. The plates attach to the support with two 3/4" Phillips-head screws. Five self-adhesive rubber feet (3/4" diameter x 1/4" height) attach to the base plate to absorb vibrations and protect floor surfaces. Five self-adhesive rubber bumper pads attach to the top plate to provide a non-slip surface for the speakers.

Speaker Wire Management: The hollow supports provide a channel for running speaker wires. There are holes in each base plate and top plate for threading the speaker wire into and out of the support.

Dimensions:

  • Top Plate: W=11.5", D=7.625", H=0.089"
  • Base Plate: W=15", D=12.75", H=0.092"
  • Support: W=2.003", D=3.79", H=22.75"
  • Assembled Stand (including rubber pads): W=15", D=12.75", H=23.246"
  • Assembled Weight: 5.75 pounds

Q
Can these stands be used for other speakers? I have kef 150 s and 350s, and these would appear to fit.

I think so. They are comfortable for that type of speaker.
ivan  Nov 24, 2020
A
Yes they can. I have Bose 301 speakers on mine. No problems whatsoever.
scott  Nov 23, 2020
A
I don't see why not, but it will depend on the size of your speakers. The speaker just sits on a platform at the top of the stand. The platform is about 11" wide at the rear, 6 1/4" deep at the sides, and 8" deep at the center. The front is curved to mimic the Bose 301's that it is designed for. The are really nice quality, heavy duty stands. If the dimensions work for your speakers, give them a try.

Hello there, looking for stands robust enough to hold my. B & W 705's, dimensions 8.75" X 11.4" at 9.5 kg ( 21lbs), will these do the job?

Hello, the Bose stand speakers should hold the weight of your speakers. Remember that they are not high stand speakers, they are short.

The stands are really nice and sturdy for my Bose. I'm very happy with my purchase.

The stands a made of quality materials and feel very solid and sturdy when constructed. I use them for Def Tech W7 wireless speakers that measure 16.9"W, 7.5"H, and 8"D at 16.9 lbs. The stands should be fine for your B & Ws. In addition, they look really well and will compliment the look of your speakers. I highly recommend. Hope this helps!

I don't know, but the stands are quite hefty. I think they are designed to hold the Bose 3 speakers, and they will certainly do that. My stands are holding the Sonos 3 speakers that are lighter than the Bose 3, and they are rock solid. No issues - buy with confidence mate. Enjoy your music! RCB

Its a very strong stand, they can hold a max of 75 pounds!!!
eduardo  Apr 23, 2016

Hmmm....they are extremely well made....I would guess they would support 20 lbs more than the speakers they were designed for...

Q
do you use screws to secure the speaker to the stand?

A
No.....I listen to mine at rather high volumes and have had NO issues.....
jon  Apr 22, 2016
A
No screws needed or packaged to secure speaker to the stand. The weight of the speaker keeps it secure and stable on the stand.
george j.  Aug 11, 2015
A
I did not. I set the speakers on the non-slip rubber mounting strips that were provided.
eugene  Aug 10, 2015
A
No, screws, or any other permanent mounting would allow vibration to travel through the stand. You need a buffer zone between the speaker and stand to absorb as much of this vibration as possible.
andrew  Aug 09, 2015
A
Hi Chris, I didn't use screws, but I'm using the stands to support Sonos speakers not Bose speakers. There are no screw holes in the Sonos speakers, they just sit on the stands. It's still quite stable. The stands are high quality, very heavy/sturdy, and the right height. I recommend them - enjoy the music! Best regards, Richard

pros & cons for bose fs-1 bookshelf speaker floor stands pros: i like the bose fs-01 speaker floor stands very much. they are well made, really sturdy, and they look great. my bose speakers sit on top without my securing them to the stand cons: these solidly built stands are not perfect and some individuals would not want them. admittedly, the stands are wobbly, and that is a disappointment. yet, for me, the wobble is not so much that i'd want to return them
