Experience immersive Bose® sound from a simple 2.1 speaker system. The Bose® Lifestyle® 235 home entertainment system has two Gemstone® ES speaker arrays and an Acoustimass® module that give you thrilling sound with your movies, TV shows, and sports. This system also comes with an iPod®/iPhone® dock and a built-in FM/AM radio tuner so you can listen to your favorite music. This impressive Bose system will leave your room looking good, and will have your movies, music, and games sounding fantastic.
The Lifestyle® 235 system is simple to set up. You can connect up to six high-def sources as well as your iPod or iPhone. Bose® Unify™ technology guides you through the setup process so you can get right to the good part — enjoying your new Bose® system. The on-screen menus give you all the information you need to connect and control all your audio/video sources.
The ADAPTiQ® audio calibration system customizes the sound to fit your specific room, so all your family is guaranteed to have the best seat in the house. With advanced technology from Bose®, the Gemstone® ES speaker arrays deliver a wider soundstage so you won't have to sit in one "sweet spot." A separate Acoustimass® module adds deep, rich bass to your music and movie soundtracks, and it's easily tucked away out of sight. With no rear speakers, you won't have any clutter or wires stretching to the back of your room — just pure Bose® sound.
Enjoy rich, robust sound that puts you right in the middle of your favorite movies, TV shows, and video games. Powered home theater systems come with speakers and a subwoofer plus the amplification to drive them. Many of these systems feature low-profile consoles and ultra-compact speakers for minimal visual clutter. Some include a built-in Blu-ray/DVD player for enjoying movie and concert discs.
After some thorough soul searching and considering new theater systems, I did not want to deal with components..per say... to include 5.1 or 7.1 speaker placements. This system was the one that I felt can provide me with the simplictiy, functionality, quality, and durability backed by a good warranty. I wasn't disappointed to say the least. I received the system yesterday and in less than 1 hour, the entire setup was complete, I will be receiving my BD player today and will look forward to my first movie with this awesome system. Already, watching TV is wonderful with the clarity that you'd expect and I am enjoying the commercials because of the depth of the sounds that this system reproduces. I plugged in my ipod and thoroughly enjoyed music other than being in a vehicle. If you don't want the headaches of dealing with multiple speakers, multiple components, then this is definately worth every penny. The intuitive onsreen setup is simple, flawless and takes out the guess work or even having to read the instructions. Bose has come thru again with another great product that I will enjoy for many years to come.
This is a beautiful system. I visited the Bose store, to look at the Video Wave TV, but ended up listening to the Lifestyle 235, and was sold right then and there.
I put this into a game room, and with all of the funny angles and obstructions (pool table), I was curious how well the learning "ADAPTIQ" calibration system would do. The TV Screen walks you through this, wearing this headphone-like device, you place yourself in 5 listening positions in the room, 1 at a time the system sends out a series of test patterns in order to set up great sound no matter where you are in the room. Set-up is easy, once you have the basic hook-up - console to TV, every step of configuring the system, adding additional components, etc. is easily explained on the TV. The main console is sleek and non-intrusive, the supplied remote is "trained" as a part of the set-up to replace all of the other remotes. This remote has some heft to it, and has a nice rubbery feel to it Once hooked up, the sound is fantastic. Considering we're talking a 2.1 system, I placed the 2 front speakers next to my LG 50PK750 and the Sub on the floor about 3 feet to the side, in a difficult room with a pool table, and no real front row seat, the sound throughout is fantastic - not a bad seat in the room. Mid-ranges and Highs are handled beautifully, and the Bass is as booming as you'd like it to be. All in all, the system is worth every penny and if you're on the fence, I'd say go for it you won't regret it!
