I'm not as impressed as I thought I would be with this Bose product. I'm still trying it out and deciding if it's worth the money. The set-up was pretty easy following the promps on the TV. There's still a lot of wires to run to all the speakers, but the supplied wire is a nice feature. The disadvantage to that is the lenght of the wires is factory preset so if you want shorter or longer wires you're stuck with the length unless you customize them. A disadvantage is the wired subwoofer, but there is a good length of wiring included for that. So far it's been great for movies, especially when compared to the TV speakers. I have this Bose unit paired with a Panasonic Plasma P65VT-50 and thought it would be a good match. Hmmmm...maybe I'm reading too much reviews from audiophiles in regards to Bose products;) I admit I'm looking at the new Yamaha YSP-4300 soundbar that's supposed to do a excellent job on surround sound with just the soundbar and wireless subwoofer....a lot fewer wires. Will decide which way to go in a few weeks.
Pros: Easy set-up....the Bose reputation....very good tech support if needed.
Cons: Definitely the price.....wired subwoofer
I love the product and have waited years to purchase and last year was 300 off then this year 500 off. I took the plunge and don't regret it. Next purchase is Bose link and outdoor speaker upgrade.
Pros: Great sound, easy set-up, future expansion all in one mfr. This years price and free shipping and no tax
Cons: It would be nice if you could use speaker wire.
The setup is as easy as advertised. Everything worked great out of the box. However, the unit does not have a sleep timer so you have to manually turn it off at night if you have it setup in a bedroom. Sound and features are better than expected. I plugged a computer into the HDMI input and was able to use my tv as a computer monitor....with surround sound (all through the one HDMI cable). Wonderful!
Setup was easy as stated. Sound is unbelievable! Bose keeps it's reputation in top notch condition. Thanks Bose!!
I am a big fan of bose. This has been the best system upgrade I have everygotten. No problems. Easy to set up
I move from AV Receivers to the simply home theater package. Make very much searches and finally decide for Lifestyle V35 from Bose. It is a really greate peace of electronic. With the tiny Jewels Speakers having a high fidelity sound even on loud volume its incredible. I connect my Samsung Blu-Ray player, the iPod dock that comes with the system and my Mac Mini to it. It guides you through all the process and also you press the bottons of your connected equipment and it lookup on the Remote Code Data Base on the unit and found the correct for your equipment then you can control all your stuff and see the information on the control LCD. The system have an auto calibration called ADAPTIQ, that consist of put like a headphones in front of the unit and sit on 5 differents places on you room, the greatest one I prove in my life. The sound of movies are crips and be honest I now listen details that never listen on the many other AV receivers I own. One day I am listen the Laura Branigan, Self Control song at very high volume and my wife said where are the big speakers, I say there no is big speakers what your are listen is the tiny ones you are seeing. The sound of the music also are incredible, there are parts of the songs that I never in my life listen on other system and on headphones. I read a review of this equipment and said it have cheapest parts. That not truth it is good constructed in all ways.
