Outstanding Universal Remote Control

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Installation of batteries is quick and easy. Programming of device codes for each device you wish to control is relatively simple, using the included booklet that contains THOUSANDS of codes for virtually every brand of device on the planet. I can even control my old VCR (which still works just fine), using this new remote. A great many of the functions on my Smart TV, such as internet streaming video, can be controlled by this remote control.

Pros: Compatible with many extra features of newer Smart TV sets

Cons: Lack of "decimal-point" key, for direct-entry (on the keypad) of the new digital over-the-air channel numbers, i. e. 6.3, 13.2, etc.

Excellent Remote

Recommend paying the money for the Bose® Solo/CineMate® System Universal Remote. It's excellent upgrade from the standard remote and can be programed to control just about any device connected to your monitor. I replaced my Panasonic and DirecTV remotes and retained full functionality. The only downside is that there is no way to program the main power on/off button for both monitor and speaker simultaneous operation. Not a deal breaker IMO.

You bet!! All buttons are macro-ed. You can do what ever you want as long as the button/IR code/Hex code exist. You can even make one button do two things with this remote. Long Press and Short Press. [ MARK E  Mar 16, 2015 ]
I would think not. That would be a unique feature (code) built into your Samsung remote that activates the browser feature unique to your Samsung smart tv. All you would be able to do is to set the universal remote to work with your Samsung tv - from that point it would just be a matter of luck that one of the buttons would match up to Samsung proprietary programming. [ GERRY  Mar 15, 2015 ]
All button are programmed based on devices you add. So you can add your TV and if there is a button on the remote for that tv then it will be on the Harmony [ Cheryl  Mar 13, 2015 ]
I do not know. My CineMate is an early model and the remote did not work with it. So it never got used. [ James  Mar 05, 2015 ]
