You don't necessarily need a big audio system with floor-standing speakers to enjoy room-filling music from your iPod or iPhone. The compact Bose SoundDock® 10 digital music system only occupies a space 17" wide by 9-5/8" deep, yet it delivers rich sound with plenty of clear highs and deep bass.
A powerful, rear-firing woofer provides low-frequency punch. Bose waveguide speaker technology efficiently uses the cabinet's interior to shape and enhance the sound as it leaves the woofer, for even better performance. The two built-in stereo speakers deliver clear, natural mids and highs. The end result is music that sounds great even in a large, open room.
Just plug in the power cord, and place your iPod in the system's dock. The included remote lets you control basic player functions such as play, pause, and skip as well as make volume adjustments from across the room.
The SoundDock® 10 system works with all docking iPods including the newest models as well as the iPhone and iPhone 3G. An auxiliary input lets you play other portable devices through the system.
Great... Amazing customer service.. I received a thank you call once it was shipped...
I did a lot of research before paying the bucks for this system, and I am not disappointed with my purchase. This Bose Soundock 10 has beautiful resonating basses that rock my hardwood floors if I desire. The highs are crisp and clear. I'm an English teacher: I clean the house to Cream and read essays to Rachmanioff. I have NO "negatives" about this sound system -- rock or classical, and the speakers perform beautifully thoughout the entire first floor of my home. I do have to admit, however, that this is my FIRST Bose system, so I can't compare it -- in my home -- to any other model.
Very good sound for the money. I was impressed that it has as much bass as it does. Great little system.
Pros: Very Good Sound
Cons: I wish you could sort through with the remote more. Just being able to do playlist is limiting.
I like the Bose Sounddock 10. For the simple fact that it's strong suit is simple. When the Sounddock 10 is turned on the music flows. No fiddling with buttons just turn it on and turn it up. Bose continues to have a well thought out acceptable shape for all of its systems in any room. A part of the Bose identity is the created ambiance, the easy flow of music that permeates the room(s). Bose manages a good sound that easily blends with a variety of consumer products. There is room for improvement, certainly the 10 is not all around perfect, but its close for what it is designed to do. To sit in a stationary situation and deliver soothing music, reliably. Which leads to my next point. I see no reason the 10 could not have a service life of 15-20 years. Again, not much can go wrong with simple and the way the unit is designed even wear will be a slow attrition instead of being on the fritz, due to age. I can tell you from experience this is true. I have a Bose Wave Radio from 1998 that still works reliably well. What can Bose do different? Lower the price. Their are some brands whose stereo systems can perform equal or better than the 10 for half the price. It comes down to two facts. What do you like, then what can you afford. The latter Bose might want to re-consider a better strategy. I can't tell you how many reviews people want Bose but cannot afford the sticker, so they ask what is the next best thing in the same class. The 10 is one such example.
Pros: Simple and reliable. From the stand point of sound you know what you are getting before the purchase. Bose is accessible compared to other brands and the return policy is proper. Bose Sounddock 10 works well with Apple products.
Cons: Why doesn't Bose provide more up to date connections in the rear? If a consumer can afford a Bose Sounddock 10 chances are the household has other technology this music box could connect into. Not enough information for the diligent shopper, Crutchfield did a decent job in repeating the obvious, but Bose is tight lipped to the Bose enthusiast. Better communication in this regard is a good thing.
Excellent sound yet small unit which can fit on a table top. Great price & free shipping
Best bang for the buck I've seen since the original Bose cubes.
Pros: It also works great as a " sound bar " for a HD tv. I have it mounted below our tv in our Florida room and have my iPod for my music source. It's amazing for movies, sports, even 60 minutes! Everyone says it surrounds you in sound.high quality sound.
With SO many different options out there for iPod docking stations it was a hard decision. I wish I would not have researched so much and just bought this baby right away. Can't believe how great it sounds at all levels. Very much worth the extra money compared to some other models. Deep bass and it doesn't distort at all when turned up all the way! Bose sure have figured it out on this one. Very satisfied.
WOW... This is the sickest sounding box that you"ll ever hear. Yes it is expensive but the sound at low volumes as well as pegged to the top is UNBELIEVABLE. So what's a few hundred when you have $600 million.
Bose is the best. Enjoy a true piece of audiophile.
At first I was hesitant to spend this much on this Sounddock. It has to be one of the best investments yet. The sound is so amazing! I got this just in time for my little sisters graduation party and we took this outside, everyone was amazed by the sound! I can't believe how much bass comes out of this thing! But that's what you get from Bose! I would recommend this to anyone who wants a high end sounddock, not to mention it connects to other mp3 players via audio cable. It's well worth the price!
