Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Nice charger for the Bose Soundlink Bluetooth Mini Speaker's battery. I have a charger for my iPhone in the car, also, and since I drag my Bose mini speaker everywhere...figured this would be nice to have for my speaker. I have only had it a month and no problems. However, since it is manufactured by Bose...figure it will be in good working order for years to come. :-)

Pros: Convenient

Not for Soundlink Mini !!!

Written by: Renfro from Texas on April 2, 2014

This is not for the soundlink mini, the connection is loose and you have to mess with it to get it to charge the soundlink mini, if you ever get it to charge then the slightest vibration or movement will disconnect it, looks like its the charger for the soundlink and is labeled for the mini,

Pros: none!!!

Cons: Is not made for the soundlink mini, too much trouble to get it to charge, loose fitting, price too high for something that isn't even made for the product its sold for.

Bose Mini Soundlink car charger

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Not much to say about this, other than it does work! Just wish I had a universal car charger which could charge the Bose Soundlink, an iphone 4 30-pin, and an ipad Lightning. The glove box is turning into charger spaghetti.

Pros: Works as advertised.

Cons: Yet another charger to litter the glovebox.

Features

Bose SoundLink Mini Car Charger: The Bose SoundLink Mini car charger uses a 12V power outlet commonly found in many of today's vehicles. It lets you play music & charge your Bose SoundLink Mini digital music system (sold separately).

Note: Not compatible with the new Bose SoundLink Mini II digital music system.

Caution: Using the car charger for more than a few hours with the car engine turned off may result in a weak or dead car battery, depending on its ability to hold a charge. After 6 hours of charging or playing music while the car charger is connected to your car battery, Bose recommends running your car engine 10 minutes for every hour of additional anticipated playback.

Warning: Do not play your SoundLink Mini system while driving. The distraction may present a danger to you or others.

Customer Q&A

1 question already asked

It just charges the speaker, it plugs in and has nothing to do with the Bluetooth part of it [ BRENT  May 18, 2015 ]
The charger just charges the mini speaker only and needs no Bluetooth to work. If you want to use the speaker while charging you can either plug a phone or notebook into it or use the Bluetooth feature of phone or notebook to use. Hope that helps. [ Ronald  May 17, 2015 ]
Yes, as long as you have a working 12V DC (cigarette lighter outlet), this charger will work. The charger doesn't require Bluetooth. [ MATTHEW  May 17, 2015 ]
You need bluetooth. My car radio is not enabled with bluetooth. If I want to stream music from my iPhone, I take the speaker with me in my car. It's loud enough to enjoy in my car. I love this speaker. I take it everywhere! :-) [ Sue Ellen  May 17, 2015 ]
Yes this should work. It's charging the Bose mini speaker through the car's electrical system via the 12 volt charger receptable (i.e., the old place where the cigarette lighter went for those of us who remember such things). [ ELLEN  May 17, 2015 ]
