Features

Overview: The Bose SoundDock Portable / SoundLink car charger uses a 12V power outlet commonly found in many of today's vehicles. It lets you play music & charge your Bose SoundDock Portable digital music system or Bose SoundLink Wireless Mobile speaker (both sold separately). You can also charge an iPod or iPhone if it's docked in your SoundDock Portable system.

Note: Recharging the Bose SoundDock Portable or Bose SoundLink with this charger may take up to 10 hours.

Caution: Using the car charger for more than a few hours with the car engine turned off may result in a weak or dead car battery, depending on its ability to hold a charge. After 6 hours of charging or playing music while the car charger is connected to your car battery, Bose recommends running your car engine 10 minutes for every hour of additional anticipated playback.

Warning: Do not play your SoundDock Portable or SoundLink system while driving. The distraction may present a danger to you or others.

No. The charger is only for use with the portable models (rechargeable battery) and the SoundDock III works off AC power only. I hope that helps! My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=5 [ Ryan  Feb 06, 2016 ]  Staff
Yes, I have a Samsung Galaxy 6 and it works great. The Bose unit paired immediately and I can wander anywhere throughout the lower 2000 sq ft of my home while using my phone with no interuption at all while listening to Pandora on the Bose. I have also used the Aux feature with my Sony 400 disc changer and the sound is exceptional. Suzanne Baton Rouge, LA [ suzanne  Dec 14, 2015 ]
Chris Sorry I cant answer the question since I don't have the Bose Soundlink Bluetooth Speaker III. I have the sound Dock and the charger you've shown works fine with my unit. I suspect electrically nothing would have changed so my guess is it probably would work, [ JAMES P  Jun 22, 2015 ]
