The SoundTouch ecosystem is able to stream music wirelessly throughout your house over your home's WiFi network; it even works with your Bluetooth devices. With SoundTouch, you can stream Internet radio, select music services, and your music library throughout your home. A free Bose app transforms your Apple iOS or Android mobile device into the system's remote control.

SoundTouch 10 Wireless Speaker: The SoundTouch 10 wireless speaker can be used by itself in one room or paired with other Bose SoundTouch wireless speakers to create a multi-room audio system.

  • Single Full-Range Driver: The SoundTouch 10 wireless speaker has a single full-range deliver, built-in amplifier, and rear-firing port that delivers room-filling sound. It is precisely angled to deliver balanced sound throughout your room.
  • Mounting Options: The SoundTouch 10 wireless speaker has been designed to simply sit on a flat table-top surface. There are no wall-mount options available.

Multiroom Audio: For most home networks, you can link up to four SoundTouch music systems together for a multi-room/multi-source audio experience. For more than four rooms, Bose recommends using Ethernet wired connections to some of the SoundTouch systems. You are able to play the same music source or different music source on each SoundTouch system, using the SoundTouch app on your Apple iOS/Android device or Windows/Mac computer. Compatible sources include -

  • Internet radio & online music services
  • Bluetooth & computer audio

  • Bluetooth Music Streaming: With built-in Bluetooth, the SoundTouch 10 can wirelessly play back stored music and music apps from your Bluetooth-enabled Apple iOS iPod/iPhone/iPad, Android smartphone/tablet, Windows Phone/PC, Mac computer/laptop, or other Bluetooth compatible device. You can pair up to eight devices with one actively connected. You will need to setup the SoundTouch 10 on your WiFi network and perform all system updates before you can pair your Bluetooth device and stream audio.
Note: All music sources can be streamed to multiple SoundTouch systems.

The presets can easily be set, changed, and accessed directly on the system or with the free SoundTouch app on your Apple iOS/Android device or Windows/Mac computer. You cannot set presets for Bluetooth or the Aux input.

Aux Input: In addition to wireless WiFi & Bluetooth connectivity, the SoundTouch 10 is fitted with a rear-panel 3.5mm auxiliary input for connecting almost any portable audio device with a headphone jack or audio output. An available firmware update lets you distribute the aux input for multiroom audio.

You may adjust the bass through the Sountouch software.
charles e  May 24, 2017
A
You can only adjust the bass from the app on your phone. Go to settings and following instructions. Replacement remotes are available at Bose but it won't help with the bass problem.

Q
Can two speakers be paired to produce left and right stereo sound?
robert  Nov 09, 2019
4 answers
A
Assuming the music is coming from an over the air source (Bluetooth or WiFi) I don't think a single speaker can play a single channel, therefore, would not be true stereo. However could produce individual channels if the source is hardwired to separate channels (cd player or something similar)
tom  Nov 09, 2019
A
Yes you can pair them together for a stereo effect. They sound really good that way.
terry  Nov 09, 2019
A
Some say yes and some say no. Supposedly there was a software update allowing stereo pairing. Bose hotline is very helpful. Give them a call. I do know that Black Friday price is only $99! Nice little speaker for that price
michael  Nov 09, 2019
A
Yes they can. That is my set up.
richard  Nov 09, 2019
Q
If I'm reading this correctly, I can simply feed an output of my sound system to the AUX IN on the SoundTouch10 and any additional SoundTouch speakers will be able to sync and playback that same signal over WiFi?
kenneth  Apr 24, 2018
1 answer
A
That's correct! In addition to wireless WiFi & Bluetooth connectivity, the SoundTouch 10 is fitted with a rear-panel 3.5mm auxiliary input. The 3.5mm auxiliary input can then be distributed wirelessly to your other Bose SoundTouch speakers/components connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Hope that helps! :)

Q
Can the speaker be wall mounted?
daniel  Mar 27, 2017
4 answers
A
No, the way the speaker is constructed it cannot be wall mounted.
mara  Mar 27, 2017
A
It does not appear to be designed to wall mount. No bracket or screw holes in the back to hang it from. In addition, it has a open port in the back, which I assume you should not block against a wall.
jim  Mar 27, 2017
A
It could be on a small shelf. The AC power cord projects from the back and there is no hanger on the rear of the speaker.
gregg  Mar 27, 2017
A
Not easily. There is no slot for a mounting screw, and the power cord sticks straight out the back of the unit, so it will not lie flat against the wall. Also, the rear port needs to be an inch or two away from the wall for best bass response.
michael  Mar 27, 2017
Q
Is this wireless Bose speaker compatible with a Bose Wave Music System IV?
lou  May 16, 2016
2 answers
A
No, the Sound Touch speaker is only compatible with systems which stream or broadcast wireless. The Bose Wave IV Music System requires the Bose® Bluetooth® music adapter.
charles e  May 18, 2016
A
I have no clue. I don't own the Bose Wave Music System iV.
scott  May 17, 2016
Q
Can this radio be played without wifi? This would be a gift for my 89 yr old mother with limited vision and no wifi.
patty  May 07, 2016
7 answers
A
Yes, but may not be the best with limited vision. If she uses or has a large tablet it would be better with the free download controller which is easier to view.
charles e  May 18, 2016
A
This model does not have radio. However, you can play radio stations from your device but you would most likely need wifi to access those stations. Works great with blue tooth from ipad/iPhone etc. but obviously they must have the music downloaded onto them if you aren't accessing cloud services. Also, there is an auxiliary port on this speaker so it can be used with iPods or MP3 players with no internet. There is some initial (simple0 techy set-up but the presets would make it ideal for someone with limited vision. The sound is GREAT!
joseph  May 08, 2016
A
It is just a speaker, not a radio. You do not have to use the wireless Bluetooth connection but can instead connect it to other devices with a simple single rca cable.
sharon  May 07, 2016
A
I have this hooked up to wifi, but it is Bluetooth... I have played thru BT with my phone also...hope this helps!!
robert  May 07, 2016

no this really requires both WiFi and a smartphone or computer
harry  May 07, 2016
A
Yes with blue tooth devises
patrick  May 07, 2016
A
Yes you can bluetooth
brian  May 07, 2016
Q
What is the wireless range?
rick  Oct 31, 2015
1 answer
A
This model has both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi built-in. Bluetooth range is generally around 30-feet but Wi-Fi range would be determined by the strength of your home's Wi-Fi network capabilities. As long as your streaming device is able to connect to the same wireless network as the Bose SoundTouch, you can stream from anywhere in your home.
