Very nice wall mounting for Bose

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This set of wall mounting kit for Bose is very handy for my cube speakers. Mounts firmly on the wall and makes speakers look great. In addition no trouble with my little boy dropping stuff as they secure speakers firmly on the concrete surface.

Pros: Handy, easy to install. Variety of mounting options with all possible compatible screws included. Provides maximum safety for Bose speakers.

Cons: None

Great mounts

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Can barely see them behind the speakers and they are very versatile allowing the user to aim the speaker in nearly any direction.

Pros: Small, modern looking and very functional.

Cons: Having to pay for the ceiling mounts I'm not using and not knowing the center speaker can be mounted with them; now I need to purchase another.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These brackets are awesome and worth the price. I went back and forth debating on buying cheaper brackets but thrilled I didn't because these brackets are slick. My house was prewired for surround sound with electrical boxes so I had to offset the bracket to connect the speaker. Had the wire just been hanging out of the ceiling I could have installed the bracket with the speaker and no wires would be visible. It is a great product and if you are debating on the investment I feel it is totally worth it.

Pros: Great design. Comes with a wide variety of hardware for almost any type of in home installation.

Cons: None

excellent, I used with Klipsch HD500 speakers

Written by: JD from NC on December 31, 2010

These mounts come with both M5 and M4 size metric screws to match the Bose speakers they're designed for. The Klipsch HD500 speakers require a 1/4-20 US thread size. I purchased four internal to external 1/4-20 to M4 thread adapters to screw into the speakers. This allows the M4 screw from the Bose hardware package to perfectly match the Klipsch speaker. The instructions indicate the plastic alignment plate can be discarded in some cases, which is the case here. The curved surface on the back of the Klipsch matches the Bose mounting arm, and everything tightens up nicely for a clean solid mount. The positioning mechanism is well designed, allowing you to change the angle both L/R and up/down with one screw. This mount (when used for "on-wall") also holds the speaker close to the wall, not the 2+ inches I've seen with some other designs. Exactly what I was looking for.

BEWARE: Not meant for new homes with pre-wired boxes on ceiling

Written by: Gagan from CA on August 27, 2010

I bought these speaker brackets for my newer construction house that is pre-wired for 5.1 So, I have 5 electrical boxes (gang box) in ceiling covered with wallplates. The standard wallplate has one screw hole on each end. But these BOSE brackets require 4 mounting holes and brackets are much small in size. They will install great on ceiling if you do not have any electrical box to worry about at all.... but do not think it will install on top of existing box. However, the bracket design is very slick!! ...so slick that i had to think of workaround.... so, i bought standard size steel wallplates from home depot, welded bose bracket on back of it, drilled small hole for speaker wire, spray painted the steel plates and mounted on ceiling. I am sure there are many people like me (previous poster) but surprised there are no grey market accessories to serve here.

Slick Install

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought these mounts for the AM10 IV I just bought. My house was already pre wired for surround sound and the decorative plates and associated cutouts were too big for these mounts to cover completely. I had to offset the mounts a little bit but the install was all good from then on. My only complaint is there really isn't a good place to conceal the wires from the ceiling, leaving a bit of exposure. Probably only enough for me to notice though.

You will not be unhappy with these.

I highly recommend using these brackets. They attach perfectly to the Bose speakers and provide a very secure mount. They are very heavy duty and have a nice finish. I would beware of so call "universal mounts". They may be cheap, but you get what you pay for.

These fit the Bose speakers perfectly, and mount easily. I have them fixed onto wood beams in a post and beam house, and they are almost invisible. Great flexibility in moving the speakers.

WORTH BUYING

Written by: Cutco760 from Springfield, NJ on July 5, 2005

If you own Bose® Acoustimass® speakers you must get these brackets. It will make your house feel like a real theater. You should hook them up on the ceiling. By the way Crutchfield price is the best on the market, not to mention the fast delivery it provides. If you get the Bose Satellite speakers, you have to buy these. Placing your speakers on the floor, or shelf will not give you the full power and potential that it has. Dont buy any other mounts for bose speakers, unless if you want your speakers broken on the floor. This happened to a friend who wanted to save $5 on each bracket. If you bought the $1000, dont hold out on a feel dollars more. For $100 you get 4 Brackets and you pleace the 5th speaker on the TV top and you are in business. I guarantee you will be happier. They are easy to mount and great to enjoy. Plus it hides the speaker nicely and it is safe, it keeps the kids form reaching it and breaking it.<BR>

I assume it can be locked in that position. As for weight limit, I attached the dual Bose cubes to it, but they don't weigh a whole lot. If you are attaching something other than cubes, I'd be very careful. [ SAM  Jan 09, 2014 ]
I have this bracket and it does lock in place quite well. I'm not sure of the load capacity but my Bose Acoustimass double cube speakers are very sturdy on these brackets. I used included hardware to mount to the ceiling. [ JEFF  Jan 08, 2014 ]
The bracket definitely has a locking mechanism when connected to the speakers. They are immoveable unless you release the mechanism before trying to adjust their position. I'm not sure about the load capacity. We already had Bose 4" cube speakers and the bracket was a replacement for one that broke during prep for painting [ DEBORA  Jan 08, 2014 ]
Yes, it can be locked into the desired position and can hold up to 10 lbs (usually not an issue with Bose speakers!). [ MARY L  Jan 08, 2014 ]
