Mount a mini-jack auxiliary input on your control panel or bulkhead with this 40" extension cable. The input is ready to be installed — just drill a 3/4" hole. An integrated cover protects the mini-jack input from the elements when it's not in use. The other side of the cable terminates in a pair of gold-plated RCA plugs. Warranty: 1 year.

Nice way to add AUX plug to radio

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

A nice and clean way to install an AUX plug in your car. This is a marine grade plug but I installed it in my convertible. Good to know that if it starts raining while I'm away from the car, the plug is waterproof.

Pros: Easy to install

Cons: none

Could be better

The protective boot that covers the port while not in use is crap, cracked and fell apart in less than a year. Also you need to glue the jack to the mount since when you plug in it pushes the jack out. This requires accessing the rear panel again to push it in. Just glue it and be done with it. Wonder if the factory ever even tries one out first.
