Clarion CMG1622R

Built tough to withstand sun and moisture

Ready to rock on the water

If great sound is as important to you on the water as it is on land, you need a set of quality, marine-rated speakers in your system. Clarion uses artful design and rigorous testing to ensure that their CMG1622R 6-1/2" speakers are ready to rock in even the harshest extremes of a marine environment.

These Clarions feature a rugged, waterproof mica-injection polypropylene woofer and a 1-1/4" cone tweeter for outstanding sound that won't fade out due to high humidity and punishing UV rays. A rugged plastic shell protects the basket and magnet, while the integrated white plastic grille looks great in any boat. A set of Clarion's illuminated speaker grilles (sold seperately) will add safe, subtle lighting to your evening cruises or nights at the dock.

Note: Clarion describes this model as a 6-1/2" speaker, though the cutout required is more similar to a 6-3/4" speaker. For simplicity's sake, we list it as a 6-1/2" speaker.

  • 6-1/2" mica-injection polypropylene cone

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

First product to purchase from Crutchfield and it was effortless! I truly wanted something quick to put together a icechest boombox. My payment was taken, monitored tracking of my shipment and it arrived at my doorstep earlier than anticipated. And the speakers , well they sound awesome! Would highly encourage first time buyers with doubts to JUST DO IT! You won't regret it. I will be back Crutchfield! Thanx!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Speakers were good and the price was right, however, the back was too wide for the cutout on my boat. Had to return them and buy other speakers.

Pros: Good sounding, good looking and good priced speakers.

Cons: Did not fit into the cut-out on my boat in which other Clarion speakers did fit.

I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: The Alpine Marine SPS-M600 6-1/2" 2-way Speakers offer a smaller cutout size at 4.972" where the Clarion's mentioned require 5.678". This Clarion model is the only Clarion however. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. [ Krissy  May 16, 2014 ]  Staff
Unfortunately we don't have an easy way to look that piece of information up. I would recommend reaching out to an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They should be able to help determine what will work best in your system. [ Jeff  May 15, 2014 ]  Staff
