Poor Implementation of Folder Navigation

I echo most of the comments already posted for this product. Overall it's a nice unit for the money and I'm happy with it. However, the implementation of the folder navigation on CD's and USB devices holding mp3/wma/acc files was poorly done. For example, when in Random Play mode, if you advance to the next selection (>>|) it doesn't take you to the next randomly generated selection but to the next file in the folder of the currently playing song (i.e. as if it exited Random Play mode). Worse yet is no support of standard playlist files. I even tried creating a rudimentary playlist by creating a folder called "playlist" containing shortcuts to the files I wanted to play. This didn't work; the device ignores all files that aren't of type mp3/wma/m4a. This is sad since implementing support for standard WMP playlists (or shortcut files) would have been trivial.

works great, love all the features, tuning EQ was a little hard to get used to when compared to most stock units. works great with the free cd changer it came with easy to use, fits in a 03-06 silverado without cutting the bracket out

Overall, this is a great unit. It turned my 2007 Prerunner sound into a great sounding system - still with factory speakers.
The only drawback that I have found is the menu is difficult to navigate. It is not intuitive at all. I'm still happy with my purchase, but come on, Clarion, get it together with the menus!

Purchased this unit, which came along with a 6-CD changer, to replace a factory head unit in my 2006 Hyundai Elantra. Am impressed with the sound and wealth of features. While, per some other comments, the sound settings take a little study to operate the controls, all in all this is an excellent package for the price. Plays all my media flawlessly with very crisp yet full sound - even through my factory speakers. Would definitely recommend to anyone who seeks quality sound at a value price.
