"User Custom" preset. The factory presets are "Bass Boost"
(bass emphasized), "Impact" (bass and treble emphasized), and
"Excite" (bass and treble emphasized, mids de-emphasized). When
"Bass Boost" is selected, you can adjust the bass setting from -3dB to

factor for the bass and midrange. For the treble, you can adjust the gain and
frequency.
Magi-Tune+
FM Tuner: This
receiver is equipped with Clarion's proprietary Magi-Tune+ FM Tuner, which
improves sensitivity and selectivity for excellent FM stereo reproduction.
Instant
Station Recall (ISR):
This feature gives you one touch recall of a single favorite radio station (this
is in addition to the 18 FM and 6 AM presets).
Zero-Bit
Detector Mute Circuit:
This circuit mutes output when no audio signal is detected for absolute quiet
between CD tracks.
CD Text:
When playing a CD encoded with CD Text, this unit will display the CD Text
information. When a title is longer than 11 characters, you can make the title
scroll by pressing the "Title" button.
CD/CD
Changer/TV Titling: Titles, up to 10
characters long, can be stored and recalled from memory for individual CDs,
discs in a changer magazine, or TV stations. 50 titles may be entered for the CD
mode and 15 may be entered for TV tuner mode. In CD changer mode, you may enter
100 CD titles when using the DCZ625 or 50 titles when using the CDC1255z
changer.
Top Play
Button: Pressing
the "Top" button while a CD is playing will start the disc playing
from track 1 again.
Auto
Reload: When a CD
is ejected and left sticking out of the CD slot for 15 seconds, the unit
automatically reloads the CD to protect if from damage. This feature works with
5" (12cm) CDs, but it will not work with 3" (8cm) CDs.
Last
Position Memory:
If you turn off the unit while a disc is playing, it will resume playback at
that point when it is turned on again.
Front, Rear and Non-Fading
Preamp Outputs: This unit includes gold-plated 4.0-volt front, 2.0-volt rear and 4.0-volt non-fading RCA preamp outputs.
The non-fading outputs are typically used to feed a subwoofer amplifier. The non-fading
output level is adjustable from -6 to +6.
Auxiliary Input: Stereo RCA
preamp inputs are hardwired to the back of the unit on a 4" lead, allowing
you to connect a portable audio source. Just connect your portable cassette, MD
or MP3 player to this unit, and you can listen to the audio from the portable
player through the speakers in your mobile audio system. The Aux input
sensitivity is adjustable and can be set to "Sens High", "Sens
Mid", or "Sens Low".
Cellular Mute Lead:
This unit is equipped with a lead that will mute the audio output when it
receives a muting signal from a cellular phone equipped with a muting output.
When a cellular call is received, a signal sent from the phone to the muting
lead causes the unit to mute the audio output, then, once the call is over, the
audio level is automatically restored. To use this feature, you must have
a cellular phone with a muting output that can be connected to the muting input
wire (brown wire) of this unit.
Dimmer Feature: This
unit is equipped with a wire that Clarion calls an illumination lead, however,
it acts as a dimmer lead. When the illumination wire of this unit
receives power and the dimmer feature has been turned on, the display will dim
to a preset level. Note: When the power and constant wires are connected
and the illumination wire is supplied with voltage (when you turn your lights
on), the button illumination remains on even if the unit is turned off
completely.
