dual 24-bit D/A converters re-quantize the 16-bit audio signals from CDs and
DVDs as 24-bit data while maintaining the low distortion and high linearity of a
1-bit D/A converter. This allows an expanded dynamic range and clearer
reproduction of subtle nuances, for a richer sound when viewing DVDs or
listening to CDs.

and Rear 4.0-Volt Preamp Inputs/Outputs: This

These are dual mode connections (there is not one set of outputs and another set

located on the bottom of the unit, must be set to the "Line Out"
position. By setting the "Line In/Line Out" switch to the "Line
In" position, this unit's front and rear preamp connections can accept an
audio signal from a Clarion expanded EQ or DSP module; this feature allows the
unit to amplify signals processed by an EQ/DSP module and send it to your
speakers, without the need for external amplifiers.
4.0-Volt Preamp Outputs: In
addition to the gold-plated front and rear 4.0-volt preamp outputs, this
unit is equipped with one set of gold-plated, non-fading RCA preamp outputs.
These outputs have a selectable low-pass filter that can be set to 50Hz, 80Hz,
or 120Hz. You can adjust the subwoofer volume from -6 to +6 using the front
panel subwoofer volume control.
Auxiliary Input: Stereo RCA
preamp inputs are hardwired to the back of the unit on a 4" lead, allowing
you to connect a portable audio source. Just connect your portable cassette, MD

player through the speakers in your mobile audio system. The Aux input
sensitivity is adjustable and can be set to High, Mid, or Low.

Note: When the power and
constant wires are connected and the illumination wire is supplied with

unit after the faceplate is removed. This feature can be turned On or Off.
