Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The radio buttons are awful, but with the remote ,it becomes better to use the radio. They shouldn't sell the radio without the remote.

Remote...YAY!!!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The remote was included in the Head unit purchase. I like it! Honestly, it probably will not get used much but I like the thought of having a remote. It's always about "guys & their toys".

Cons:

No complain

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I got this free with the purchase of a HU, and I cannot complain. Only improvement I can think of within this short span of ownership - the folder up / down buttons to browse the USB drive would have made it a perfect one!

Handy Little Item

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

At first I thought this was a ridiculous unit- a remote for a radio that is one foot away, but the controls are more logical and the buttons larger than the head unit, which makes using the remote a common occurrence.

Cons:

works better than the radio itself

Thank god for this remote because the radio controls are terrible.

Nice Addition

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is a great, free addition to the radio. Nice to have a mute button. Wish it was on my stereo but at least I have one and don't have to have my arm hanging up towards the stereo. I can relax with my hand on my lap and switch my music with ease.

Great addition to Package

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Came bundled in package but was a big part of buying decision because I didn't want to have to fiddle with radio while driving. Works great when you learn it. Con: Infrared not RF so it needs to be pointing directly at radio or bounce off reflective surface.

Pros:

Cons:

Free with radio

Got this remote free when I bought my radio. Very usefull when your in the trunk tuning the amps and you need to raise or lower the volume. And like the other person said. Good to have in hand to pause the music when a Cop is spotted....HAHa

Remote is fairly intuitive and mirrors the major functions of the Clarion head unit. Works well and has a good range and good response. A nice addition to the product.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This thing is great for when you want to crank the stereo and subs, but you are worried about cops. I keep this in my hand while I drive, and I can either press pause or mute when I see a cop

Customer Q&A

Crutchfield asked
Why did you buy this?

My old remote got water in it and stopped working [ Vincent  Jan 14, 2016 ]

1 question already asked

The XMD3 does not offer an infrared sensor for use with a wireless remote. It only offered an option for a wired remote (No longer available) . While we did not offer the VS735 model you've referenced, I was able to confirm that it did come with an infrared remote and should work with the RCB176 as a result. I hope that helps!
