DVD videos. The screen has a resolution of 1440 x 234 and 336,960 total pixels.
The display features brightness, color, contrast, hue and dimmer adjustments.
The unit's touch panel features interactive controls and video graphics, making menu navigation
easy. An on-screen numeric keypad allows you to directly access titles and
chapters of a DVD disc. The
touch-screen surface is treated to resist dust and grime.
Display
Angle and Position Adjustment: You can adjust the display's angle for
better visibility. The display angle can be adjusted from 70° to 110°.
Dimmer Mode: The VZ709
features two screen modes: the Day mode and Night mode. Each mode has its own
dimmer setting for day- and night-time driving. When the orange/white illumination wire of this unit
receives power (i.e. when you turn the vehicle's lights on), the display will
change from the default day color to the default night color. You can independently adjust the brightness of the
display with and without the vehicle's lights on.
4 Preset Wallpaper Designs: Background patterns of the navigation
system and audio/video sources can be customized to suit your taste or your
vehicle's color scheme using the unit's four preset wallpaper designs (Blue,
Silver, Black, Orange).

(DCP):
In addition to the unit's touch panel display, the VZ709 features front-panel,
push-button controls.
To prevent theft, the control button section of the front panel can be
detached once the unit has been turned off. The control panel features a
magnetic latch so it can detached and reattached easily without pressing any
mechanical button. Once detached a blinking LED is activated to deter theft even
more. A
hard plastic control panel case is supplied for storing the detached panel. You
can set the motorized touch panel to close automatically when the control panel
is detached and open automatically when the control panel is reattached.
Parking Brake Detection: To prevent the displaying of video
while the vehicle is in motion, the bright green wire in the supplied 18-pin
harness must be connected to the vehicle's parking brake detection circuit.
While the vehicle is in motion (parking brake off), you can still view all of
the other displays and menus.
Audio Section
CEA2006 Compliant: The power specifications for the VZ709
are compliant with the CEA2006 Mobile Amplifier Power Testing and Measurement
standards from the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). These standards were
developed as a way to equitably compare power specs from model to model and
between manufacturers. The power output specs for the CZ509 are as follows:
- CEA2006 Specs: 19 watts RMS x 4 channels (at 4 ohms,
20Hz-20kHz, 1% THD-N)

center frequency of around 50Hz, this feature automatically compensates for the
increased bass to eliminate any unwanted noise. M-B EX can be turned on or off
in the menu.
6-Channel Preamp Output: The
multimedia headunit is equipped with stereo front, rear and subwoofer preamp
outputs for connecting the unit to an external amplifier.

Bypass: You can

amp in its purest state. This prevents any noise or distortion from being
introduced by the internal circuitry.
High Pass Filter: The VZ709
features a High Pass Filter that can be set to either 50, 80, 120Hz or "Through". The
"Through" setting allows for full-range operation while the other settings only

while those of the Second Zone are played back on an optional rearview monitor
