The CD-S2000 Super Audio CD player delivers the type of performance audiophiles crave. Yamaha designed this player specifically for unparalleled musical detail and clarity. And Yamaha is definitely no stranger to high-quality sound — they have over a century's worth of experience making musical instruments and is currently the world's leading instrument manufacturer.

Rock-solid construction for exceptionally pure, clean sound
The CD-S2000's rigid metal and wood chassis has a left-right symmetrical design with a sturdy reinforcement bar running down the middle. This ultra-solid construction helps the player combat vibrations that can degrade the sound. The analog and digital circuits are completely isolated in separate sections to prevent crosstalk. Each section has its own dedicated power supply, ensuring a constant stream of power for lively performance. And the left and right channels each have their own power circuits and digital-to-analog converters, enabling this player to produce detailed, neutral sound with superior stereo separation.

When you load a disc into the CD-S2000's aluminum tray, you'll appreciate the incredibly smooth and quiet operation. It features Yamaha's advanced Silent Loader mechanism for movement that's completely noise and rattle free. On the output side, this player gives you a variety of connections, including balanced XLR outputs, so you can pair it with just about any receiver or preamp.

Plays your Super Audio CDs and more
Pop a Super Audio CD into the CD-S2000 to experience the robust, densely layered sound this high-resolution format delivers. Or, insert a classic from your CD library to hear subtle details and nuances that you may not have known existed. This player also plays home-burned discs, plus your MP3 and WMA compilations. No matter what you're listening to, you'll enjoy ear-pleasing sound that's warm, lifelike, and above all, musical. And with a push of a button on the front panel, you can engage Pure Direct mode, which turns off the display and digital outputs. Eliminating these two potential noise sources lets you experience the clearest possible audio reproduction.
