No place like home theater

Favorite seat. Check. Frosty beverage. Check. Cornucopia of snacks. Check. To complete the perfect home theater experience you need a great home theater receiver. With Yamaha's RX-V375, you'll find yourself whisked off the sofa and right into the middle of the action, with gripping surround sound for all your movies, TV shows, and video games. The ‘V375 decodes the latest high-resolution audio formats found on many Blu-ray movies and concerts, for sound that makes you feel like you are there. You get four HDMI inputs for your high-def video sources, and this receiver will even pass 3D video signals from your corresponding Blu-ray player to a compatible TV.

"That music's coming from your iPhone®?"

You'll get used to hearing that question whenever you're playing your favorite tunes from your Apple portable device. The RX-V375 features Yamaha's Compressed Music Enhancer, which restores your favorites to near-original sound quality. Play your iPod®, iPhone or iPad® via the convenient front-panel USB input. This direct digital connection bypasses the iPod's headphone circuitry in order to send the cleanest possible sound to your speakers. And, there's a minijack input up front for connecting any portable audio player.

Packed with custom sound possibilities

Some of the most advanced features of Yamaha's RXV series receivers are heard rather than seen. For starters, there's Yamaha's auto-speaker calibration system; YPAO. Simply connect the included microphone to your receiver, place it in your favorite listening position and let the system do the rest. YPAO analyzes your room‘s acoustics and makes adjustments for optimum sound in just a few minutes. It's like having a professional installer calibrate your system. Yamaha also adds Subwoofer Trim Control that enhances low frequencies by reducing overlap with the front speakers. You'll hear a cleaner, more focused soundstage along with seamless bass throughout the room.

Save favorite settings by making a "SCENE"

Yamaha's special SCENE modes make this receiver a snap to use. Just press one of the four dedicated buttons on the receiver's front panel or remote, and the 'V375 automatically switches to the correct input setting and sound mode for viewing DVD or Blu-ray discs, playing CDs, watching TV, or listening to the radio. Plus, you can individually reprogram each button for different activities of your choice, such as playing video games, listening to your iPod, and more.

    Audio Features

5.1ch AV Receiver: The Yamaha RX-V375 AV Receiver is equipped with a 5-channel amplifier rated at 70 watts (into 8-ohms, at 20-20kHz, with 0.9% THD, driving 2 channels) which provides high dynamic power with low-impedance drive capability. The RX-V375 also includes a single LFE (mono-subwoofer) output for connecting a powered sub. The AV receiver employs high-quality components for great sound.

    • Wide-range Frequency Response: The receiver's wide-range frequency response, 10Hz to 100kHz, allows you to enjoy the full fidelity of DVD-Audio and Super-Audio CD players.
    • 192kHz/24-bit Burr Brown DACs: The Yamaha RX-V375 uses high quality, audio-grade Burr-Brown 192kHz/24-bit digital-to-analog converters for all channels to maximize sound quality.
    • Low-Jitter PLL Circuitry: The Yamaha AV receiver utilizes low-jitter PLL circuitry to help optimize sound imaging. The result is a more dynamic sound with greater detail and less distortion.

YPAO Technology: This unit employs the YPAO (Yamaha Parametric Acoustic Optimizer), which automatically adjusts the output of the speakers based on placement, performance, and the room's acoustic characteristics. Yamaha's YPAO system uses a small microphone and sophisticated equalization to automatically set the best sound for any room, no matter where the speakers are. First it checks the speaker connections and phase of each speaker. Then it sends out tones which are captured by the microphone to analyze the room acoustics and sets a variety of parameters; such as the speaker size, the distance of the speakers, and even the volume level; until it achieves the best sound conditions for your room. Using the supplied Optimizer Microphone, YPAO performs the following checks and makes appropriate adjustments to give you the best possible sound from your system:

    • Speaker Wiring: Checks which speakers are connected and the polarity of each.
    • Speaker Size: Checks the frequency response of each speaker and sets the appropriate crossover frequency for each channel.
    • Speaker Distance: Checks the distance of each speaker from the listening position and adjusts the delay of each channel.
    • EQ: Each channel has a parametric equalizer; choose one of three target settings before running the setup.
      • Natural: adjusts all speaker to a natural sound; useful when the flat setting sounds too bright
      • Flat: use when all the speakers in the system have similar sound characteristics
      • Front: EQs the center and rear speakers to sound like the front; useful when your front speakers are better than the others in the system
    • Volume Level: Checks and adjusts the volume level of each speaker.
Note: You can also choose to manually adjust the AV receiver's speaker, crossover, & EQ settings.

Multi-Channel Decoding Formats: The Yamaha RX-V375 supports the following multi-channel (Dolby Digital, DTS, Dolby Pro Logic) decoding formats.

Note: Dolby Digital and DTS listening modes can only be selected if your audio source is connected to the AV receiver via a digital audio connection (HDMI, optical, or coaxial). Even though the AV receiver will decode 7.1ch surround sound (via HDMI), it will only output 5.1ch surround, because it lacks Surround Back channel speaker outputs.

Surround Parameters: The Yamaha AV receiver offers the following Dolby Pro Logic II and DTS NEO:6 audio adjustments.

    • Dolby Pro Logic II Settings: You can adjust the following parameters in Pro Logic II Music modes:
      • Panorama: sends stereo signals to the surround speakers as well as the front speakers for a wraparound effect
      • Dimension: adjusts the soundfield either towards the front or towards the rear of the room
      • Center Width: moves the center channel output completely towards the center speaker or towards the front left and right speakers
    • Center Image (DTS NEO: 6 Music): This parameter adjusts the front left and right channel output relative to the center channel to make the center channel more or less dominant as necessary.

Cinema DSP Soundfields: Conventional multichannel audio reproduction systems base their sound on Dolby Digital and DTS decoding, using matrix and steering technologies to create surround sound effects. Yamaha Cinema DSP is much more advanced, actually creating richly realized independent soundfields that envelop you in an unmatched surround sound experience. With dialogue, music and effects ideally located in these separate soundfields, you will hear sound with accurate placement, smooth movement, exceptional clarity and richness, and realistic presence. It will seem as if the walls of your room have disappeared and you are in the middle of your own immense theater. The AV receiver offers 17 Cinema DSP programs for movies, music, and games.

    • Movie Soundfields: Standard, Spectacle, Sci-Fi, Adventure, Drama, Mono Movie
    • Entertainment Soundfields: Sports, Action Game, Role Playing Game, Music Video
    • Music Soundfields: Hall Munich, Hall in Vienna, Chamber, Cellar club, The Roxy Theater, The Bottom Line, 5ch Stereo
Note: You can change the receiver's Cinema DSP effect level (level of the soundfield effect to be added). You can adjust the level of the soundfield effect from -6 dB to +3 dB.

Cinema DSP Modes: The Yamaha RX-V375 AV receiver offers proprietary Yamaha Cinema modes so you can enjoy your movies and music even more in your home; regardless if you are using Presence Speakers, only have a two-channel speaker system, or listening through headphones.

    • Virtual Cinema DSP: Virtual Cinema DSP is an algorithm that allows you to enjoy DSP soundfield surround effects while using a minimal two-speaker system. Virtual Cinema DSP lets you enjoy the effects of Cinema DSP surround sound without using surround speakers (handy for use in custom installations where some rooms don't have surround speakers). It can be used with the front/center speakers or even with just the two front left and right speakers. This unit will switch to virtual Cinema DSP mode automatically when surround speakers are unavailable.
    • Silent Cinema: Silent Cinema makes it possible to hear large-scale surround sound through ordinary headphones. This is a variation of Cinema DSP technology that Yamaha developed to let you listen in private to movies and other multi-channel sources for hours without listening fatigue.

Straight Decode: Straight Decode lets you play back input sources without any soundfield effect processing. When the Straight Decode mode is enabled, each speaker produces its own channel audio signal (without soundfield processing). When playing back 2-channle sources, such as a CD player, stereo sound is heard from the front speakers. When playing back multichannel sources, the receiver produces unprocessed multichannel surround sound.

Compressed Music Enhancer: Yamaha employs sophisticated digital signal processing with exclusive algorithms to enable playback that improves the performance of compressed music formats, including MP3, WMA, and AAC. With the Compressed Music Enhancer, highs and especially lows are richer and smoother, bringing music back to life to be as close to the original as possible.

Dynamic Range Control: The Yamaha RX-V375 employs two Dynamic Range Control functions.

    • Adaptive DRC: Adaptive DRC automatically adjusts the dynamic range of the sound according to the volume level. This ensures that you hear clear dialog, vocals, and all sound effects at comfortable levels. There is no need to adjust the volume level as you listen; everything from whispers to big explosions will be heard clearly and comfortably at the same volume setting. It also tones down loud TV commercials and is ideal for low-volume, late-night listening when you do not want to disturb others.
    • Dynamic Range: The amount of dynamic range compression applied to bitstream signals is adjustable; Min/Auto is suitable for low volume listening, Standard is typical for home use, and Max doesn't compress the dynamic range at all.

Bass Management: The Yamaha RX-V375 AV receiver provides the following Bass Management settings.

    • Bass & Treble: You can adjust the balance of the high-frequency range (Treble) and low-frequency range (Bass) of sounds output from the receiver' front left and right speakers to obtain a desired tone. You can independently adjust the bass (50Hz) and treble (20kHz) from -6dB to +6dB in 0.5 dB increments. The tone control of the speakers or headphones can be set separately.
    • Extra Bass: You can select whether to play front channel low-frequencies through either of the front speaker or the subwoofer, or through both the subwoofer and front speakers.
    • Subwoofer Trim: The Subwoofer Trim control enhances the low frequencies by avoiding overlap with the front speaker output. This will result in a cleaner, more focused sound stage while providing a seamless frequency response. When subwoofer frequency overlap occurs in conventional systems, the overall sound is "pushed" toward the subwoofer. Subwoofer Trim takes care of this by separating the low subwoofer frequencies cleanly, thus stabilizing the front stage while providing a well-balanced enhanced bass sound.

Volume Setup: The Yamaha RX-V375 allows you to customize the receiver's volume levels.

    • Max Volume Adjustment: Use this feature to set the receiver's maximum volume level. This feature is useful to avoid turning the volume too loud by mistake. You can set the Max Volume from -30 dB to +15 dB in 5 dB steps, or to +16.5 dB (full volume range is -80 dB to +16.5 dB).
    • Initial Volume Setting: Use this feature to set the volume level when the power is turned on. You can choose between Off (same as the volume when the unit was turned off), Mute, and -80 dB to + 16.5 dB in increments of 0.5 dB.

Audio Inputs/Outputs: The Yamaha RX-V375 offers a variety of analog and digital audio inputs/outputs.

    • Digital Inputs: The Yamaha AV receiver is equipped with two optical digital inputs (AV-1/AV-4) and two coaxial digital inputs (AV-2/AV-3).
    • Stereo RCA Jacks: The receiver is also equipped with three stereo RCA analog audio inputs and a stereo RCA analog audio record output.
    • Speaker Terminals: The receiver has binding post terminals for the front speaker outputs and spring terminals for the center and surround outputs. The binding posts can accept bare wire, pin connectors, and single banana plugs. The terminals are spaced too far apart for dual banana plugs. The collar surrounding the binding post terminals prevent the use of spade connectors. You can select 8 ohms or 6 ohms in the menu depending on your speaker application. The amplifier supports 4- to 8-ohm Front speakers, and 6- to 8-ohm Center and Surround speakers.
    • Headphone Jack: The Yamaha RX-V375 is equipped with a front-panel 1/4" headphone jack for connecting a set of headphone, so you can listen to your music privately. Connecting a set of headphones automatically mutes the receiver's speaker outputs. Sound effects applied during playback can also be heard through the headphones.
    • Aux Input: The receiver features a front-panel minijack (3.5mm) audio input for connecting an external audio source temporarily.

AM/FM Tuner: The Yamaha RX-V375 AV receiver features a built-in AM/FM tuner with manual, seek, and preset tuning. The RX-V375 lets you store up to 40 AM/FM station presets. This can be done manually or automatically (auto-preset tuning). You can set this receiver to automatically match FM broadcast frequencies in stereo, or convert the frequency to monaural for weaker stations. An indoor FM wire antenna and AM loop antenna are included with the receiver.

    Video Features

HDMI (v.1.4): The Yamaha RXV375 AV receiver is fitted with 4 HDMI (v.1.4) inputs and 1 HDMI (v.1.4 outputs) to deliver crystal-clear, all-digital audio and video signals. The HDMI 1.4 jacks support 1080p and 4K video signals; as well as 3D video and ARC functionality. Deep Color (30/36 bit), x.v.Color, and auto Lip-Sync compensation is also supported via HDMI. The AV receiver's HDMI jacks support 2-channel and multi-channel linear PCM (up to 8-channel) and Bitstream (Dolby Digital, DTS, etc) digital audio formats.

    • 4K Pass Through: 4K Pass Through allows the Yamaha RX-V375 to receive super high-definition resolution video and pass the video signal to a 4K compatible TV or display monitor. This ensures compatibility with the latest super high resolution video formats.
    • 3D Ready: The Yamaha RX-V375 AV receiver supports 3D HDMI pass-through from connected 3D-compatible Blu-ray, games and broadcast devices to 3D-compatible HDTVs (all 3D components must be connected via HDMI). 3D provides a more engaging audio and video consumer experience. Note that special eyewear may be required for viewing 3D content
    • ARC (Audio Return Channel): This feature allows audio to be sent from your compatible HDTV to your receiver through the same HDMI cable already being used to send audio and video to your HDTV. This eliminates the need for extra cables connected to your television.
    • Deep/x.v.Color Support: The AV receiver supports Deep Color and x.v.Color content, which can display a larger color range than standard-definition schemes. The result is a more lifelike, vibrant picture
    • LipSync: This function adjusts the delay between audio and video output. You can do this manually or have the receiver set the LipSync function automatically. When connected to a TV via HDMI the receiver automatically adjusts audio output timing (0-250ms) if the TV supports an automatic LipSync function. You can also manually delay the sound output up to 250ms to synchronize it with the video image.

Analog Video: The RX-V375 AV receiver offers both composite and component analog video jacks.

    • Component Video: The RX-V375 offers two component video inputs and one component video monitor output. These jacks have a frequency response of 5 Hz to 60 MHz and will pass High Definition video sources up to 1080p.
    • Composite: The receiver features three composite video inputs, one composite video record output, and one composite video monitor output.

Front Panel AV Input: The front panel's Video Aux input consists of a composite video input, and a 3.5mm stereo minijack input.

Background Video: The Background Video feature allows you to watch a video source while listening to a different audio source. With the RX-V375, you can select any video input, and listen to AM/FM radio or select songs from a USB device at the same time.

    USB/iPod Integration

USB Port: This AV receiver is equipped with a front-panel USB (type-A) port that allows you to enjoy WAV (PCM format only), MP3, WMA, and AAC music files from a USB mass storage class memory device; such as your Android smartphone, portable MP3 player or USB thumbdrive (not compatible with USB HDDs). This unit can recognize sampling frequencies of up to 48 kHz on a compatible USB storage device. Your USB mass storage class device must be formatted in FAT 16 or FAT32 . You can use the receiver's on-screen menu (via HDMI) and remote control to navigate your stored music files on your connected USB memory device. USB portable audio players that can be charged via USB will be charged when plugged into the AV receiver's USB port (5V/1A); even in standby mode.

Note: While listening to a song from a USB device, you can view a favorite video or photo from the receiver's monitor output.

iPod/iPhone Direct: The USB (type-A) port on the front-panel provides convenient connection for your iPod/iPhone so you can listen to your stored music and music apps through the Yamaha AV receiver. The iPod/iPhone USB digital connection means that the digital audio signal from your iPod/iPhone is transmitted directly to the system, minimizing noise interference and allowing use of the receiver's DAC, not the DAC in your iPod/iPhone. This results in more precise sound reproduction. You can navigate your iPod/iPhone's music via the receiver's on-screen menu (via HDMI) and remote control, or continue to use your iPod/iPhone's clickwheel or touchscreen. You can browse your iPod/iPhone's stored music content via Playlist, Artist, Album, Song, Genre, or Composer. You can also control Repeat & Shuffle functions. Basic playback functions (such as Play/Pause, Previous/Next Track) for music apps can also be controlled by the AV receiver's remote. Song/artist information from stored music and music apps on your iPod/iPhone will display on your connected TV (via HDMI) or the unit's front-panel display. Your iPod/iPhone's battery will be charged while connected to the receiver (max. 1A). Using the Lightning- or Dock-cable that came with your Apple device to connect directly to the Yamaha AV receiver, iPod/iPhone compatibility is as follows (as of 9/24/2013):

Very satisfied. With all the hook ups I was able to plug into every electronic device I have.

    Pros: Plug ins

    Cons: Nothing comes to mind

    Solid entry level reciever

Written By Alan, Manassas Park, VA on Tuesday, January 28, 2014

Pros - Easy hookup. A LOT of options for inputs. Very flexible. Good sound.

Cons - No upconverting. A little underpowered.

Just got this reciever a couple days ago. Clear as a bell. I've noticed I have to turn it up higher (according to the digital scale for volume control) vs. my panasonic it replaced. It is only 70 watt per vs. 100 watts per channel though, so I expected this. I have this in a larger room.. about 20x20ft (may be larger) so I may have trouble filling the room like the last one did.. but it works great for movies. I love that I can use a dvi - hdmi cable from my computer and select an analog audio source (or one of the myriad of digital inputs) instead of being forced to use only the sound channels that aren't present (in this case) from the hdmi cable. I like it so far. Time will tell if I really love it though.

I dislike that the connections on the back switch types though. Why on earth would you have your front speakers be a different connector than the rears and center? This doesn't make any sense and while the receiver will accept stripped wire at a terminal, it uses 2 different types of terminals. Its the small things like this that remind me (when I have to adjust things in back.. I'm never satisfied with the cabling/etc so I'm always adjusting it) that its a low dollar amp. That said, this receiver is definitely a good buy and it has me itching to add my surrounds and a sub to see what it really will do...

Pros: Very flexible - use any video input with any audio input

Cons: Not the most powerful integrated amp.. would have liked to see a true 5x100. This is 100watts if only running 1 speaker if I read the manual right and 70 if running two...

Extremely satisfied at this price point. Have all I needed for sound in a hometheater setup. Works really well in my 14 x 18 family room. Paired with Energy Micro. Excellent sound quality.

Pros: Price, performance, features, easy setup.

    Cons: None so far.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Not the most expensive or feature filled unit, but it is a great upgrade for the price from the 12 year old system it replaced. Fills up our family room with good sound definition on all 5+1 channels fort all movie types.

    Pros: great price!

Cons: so switched a/c outlet on the back to plug the subwoofer into

    Great basic home theater receiver

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this receiver to replace another Yamaha older generation unit. The old unit had caused no issue but to upgrade to a bluray smart player I needed HDMI switching. My HDTV has just one.

I have decided that I did not need any other features than this unit provided.

The RX V375 was the perfect replacement. I believe that it actually sounds better than the old unit.

The setup was easy although I am not certain I could tell a difference when I used the mic for the speaker setup.

I really like the front USB port. It works very well with my IPhone. I like the on Tv screen display when using Pandora or Amazon cloud player. I now what to get a 64 gig jump drive to load all of my music to and leave it in the port. The on screen navigation is sort of awkward but usable.

All in all I am happy. There less expensive receivers but I believe you can not go wrong with Yamaha quality.

Pros: USB port with on screen navigation. Plenty of HMDI inputs. Easy to use remote.

Cons: None from exactly what I wanted.

    More than worth the cost

I am so pleased with this receiver. I love the sound separation, the power, the ease of use... I can't think of anything negative to say. I am so glad that I made this purchase

Pros: Excellent sound separation, remote, automatic sound adjustment, inputs

Cons: Would have liked a paper manual.

Did my homework on this model and ,did the ordering on the internet. The box came with ripped opened but the peanuts and the inside box seemed ok, Called Crutchfield to tell them, and was told if any issues to send it back for a replacement or money back, it seemed ok and is working fine so far, good sound, easy to hook up and use.

Pros: easy to hook up, nice remote, good sound for the price

    Cons: box came ripped opened

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

A full featured unit with unusual amount of applications. The ability to drive 4 ohm speakers is a plus. Easy set up even for a simple two channel operation. Sound quality is very good for a unit at this price point.

Pros: Price, features, set up, sound quality, accepts 4 ohm speaker load

Cons: Owners manual on CD is inconvenient

    GREAT PRODUCT AND SERVICE

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Before I review this product, let me tell you how good their customer service is. I purchased a denon 1613. 2 weeks in and I lose picture and sound. all I can get to display is the ipod control. after a half hour of pressing every button under the stars on 3 different remotes. I called Tech Support. My advisor Brent patiently went through all the different scenarios to try and get the tv back on. After another 1/2 hour, he's pretty sure the hdmi circuit blew out and I need to replace it. oko, but the model is no longer made and its sold out. We looked at the replacement model and it didn't quite have the type of connectivity I needed. ps -i am 60 and I play records. I asked for a recommendation. He offered a sony and this model. When I explained what I was looking for, he said sound wise the Yamaha is known for its clarity. connections worked out perfectly. so I bought it. and it was 50$ cheaper than the denon. easy no hassle return. As for the 375, I was fine out of the box. Loads of sound options. nice and clean, and excellent bottom end. ( I'm a bass player). Set up is pretty easy. You'll need to download the instructions from a disc (cheap!) I did have a slight issue with the woofer dist. was listed as 19ft away when it was only 11. the other 4 speakers were set remarkably close to their actual distances from my chair. The other reason for a 4 is that in order to watch tv you have to have the unit on. I went around this by running rca's from cable direct to TV.

Pros: clear as a bell. A load of sound preference options. A lot of fun if you are a tweaker like me Good on screen display. Easy remote to get used to. For the money, I don't think you can do better.

Cons: minor- if you use their mic to set distances you may have a problem with the woofer distance. I did 3x it came up 19ft even after adjusting cross overs etc. Getting bass just right since I'm a player si always a load of fun. the other was that if you go through the hdmi tv in plug the unit has to be on. there is no pass through. So you may need to connect the tv direct to the cable box via rca plugs. I give this unit a sold 4.50

    Exceeds my expectations

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Purchased to replace an aging Sony 500-watt AV receiver. Simple hook up, included the microphone to tailor sound to my preferred seat, includes optical input for AirportExpress which marginally improves sound from the wireless network (all source music is captured at highest available bit rate), reasonably priced.

Pros: Sound quality improves upon the old Sony receiver, more crisp, better high end. I've always thought Yamaha audio has a glassy sound which appeals to my ear without fatigue.

Cons: 1) The remote control is fine but wishing they can find a way to design remotes with only a couple of buttons. 2) Does not display FM radio station call letters, only the frequency.

    Does the job well

Great receiver for the price. I'm using this to replace an old amplifier with a Polk Soundbar. I am pleased with the performance and ease of use. I'm still working through the manual to figure out all the options and features. At this price point, I can't imagine anything better. As always, Crutchfield processed and handled my order efficiently.

I am very impressed with the RX-V375 Yamaha reciever. I found the clrity excellent and it has way more volume than I'll ever use. It has good seperation while in dolby surround and that is what I was looking for. It is limited on options which is just fine with me. I like the fact I can run all of my electronics though it and just push a button to change. I had an older Dennon so comparing would be unfare but it does put it to shame. I felt Crutchfield delivered quickly and their support staff was teriffic..

Pros: value ,clarity, easy set up, support. A great value at the price

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I needed a replacement for my 2 year old Pioneer the crapped out suddenly. Budget was definitely a concern and that limited my options. I have owned many Yamaha products through the years and liked them all and after reading the 5 star What HiFi review of the rxv373 i figured i'd try the newer rxv375, even if i didn't like it Crutchfield would exchange it for another model no problem. First let me say it was super easy to set up and calibrate. I'm talking like 20 minutes for the connections and running the Ypao. that was it ,done with great results!! The sound quality was on par if not better than the more expensive Pioneer(twice the cost). I am very happy with this product and for the price it is a best buy and i will recommend it to my friends.

Pros: sound quality, easy of use and setup

Cons: could be more powerful but for the $$$ you cannot go wrong

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I am very happy with this receiver. I wanted a receiver that delivered high quality sound but it also had to be easy to operate. My wife is very technologically challenged and quickly loses patients when equipment is complex. This system seemed custom made for us and we are both very happy. The one button scenes are very easy to program and she is happy that she can switch from TV to Music by touching one button. I am happy that the system still allows me to custom tune the sound to the specific program that we are watching, whether it is sports or an action movie.

Pros: Easy Set up. Easy to operate. Reasonable price.

    Cons: None.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Good priced, nice sounding receiver. I bought because I wanted to have 4 HDMI inputs (it does) and it has the USB port of the front for iPod playback. I could not get that to work but I read it should be in data mode- not a biggie since this is primarily used for a home theater setup and radio playback. Other model Yamahas have more features but this was only a couple hundred bucks and did the trick. For the price, it is an awesome buy!

Pros: 4 HDMI inputs, presets for movies and music, Pro-logic II, and an enhancer setting

Cons: Only 5.1, missing some features more expensive Yamahas have like several digital audio input/ outputs.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Really like the sound. I am a beginner, but going through all the option and different sound you can have is a hassle. 90% of them make it sound trashy, but the good ones really make it shine. The lack of posts for the rear and center channels is definitely a con. All and all I am happy with my purchase.

Pros: Comes with mic auto set up Sounds great

Cons: Too many presets Lack of posts for rear and center channels.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great value! I couldn't be happier. I bought it as 2nd receiver for a surround system in my basement and I couldn't be happier with it. My primary av receiver is the much higher end Yamaha rxv867 from a few years ago and truth be told, for less than 1/3 the price, this one offers about 95% of the features and most importantly, the sound quality of the $800 RXV867. Highly recommended!

Pros: Great value, HDMI connections, sound quality, auto set-up

Cons: Spring clip speaker connections for center and surround speakers (main L & R are screw connectors).

Standard, if you want to get up to date with connecting your HDMI device to a central location and having enough amp power to power your speakers and Subwoofer.. This is all you need... Features are basic nothing too complicated.. Specs are average.. Very average system

Pros: Simple and powerful for the price

Cons: Could use better speaker banana plugs... Not enough speaker configuration and sound decoders

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this to replace a fairly new Denon reciever. The Denon was only a couple of months old but I was not impressed with it. The Yamaha was half of the price of the Denon and I think it is a better fit for me. The Yamaha does not have some of the features the Denon has, but I think it beats out the Denon in other areas, like actually working when it is turned on. The Denon had to be turned on and off most of the time to work. I will probalby at some point have to buy another reciever and I will most likely buy another Yamaha.

Pros: Easy setup, fairly simple to operate, and it works when you turn it on.

Cons: Does not have a feature to increase the volume for the dialog like some of the other units have.

Get everything you’ll need to enjoy your new Yamaha RX-V375

Add speaker wire with pre-installed connectors for easier speaker hookup.
Individual spools of speaker wire let you use the exact amount you need to connect to your speakers.
Get digital transfer of the picture and sound with an HDMI cable.
Protect your investment from power surges and interference.
Connect your components that require optical digital connections.
Transfer digital audio from your components to your new receiver.
Maintain optimum sound quality with upgraded audio cables.
Using a high-quality subwoofer cable helps you get great-sounding bass with movies and music.
