Overview: The Blaupunkt BP 7.0 Full HD is a stand-alone dash camera and digital recorder for recording the road ahead as you drive. It has a 2.4" LCD color TFT display and a 3.5 megapixel CMOS image sensor. It records high definition video with audio or still images onto microSD card (not included). The BP 7.0 Full HD comes with a 2-5/8" diameter suction cup mount, a cigarette lighter adapter, and a long USB/power cable.

Recording: The BP 7.0 Full HD records in a continuous loop onto a microSD cards. It records both audio and video as you drive, or you can turn off the audio, if desired. As the available memory runs out, it starts recording over the oldest recordings. You can also choose to record in shorter files of 3 or 5 minutes in length. In the menu, you can switch to shooting still photos at any time.

Memory Cards: MicroSD and Micro SDHC cards up to 32 GB can be used in the recorder. It is recommended that cards with a speed rating of Class 6 or higher be used.

Display: The unit is equipped with a 2.4" color LCD display with a resolution of 480 x 234. You can use the display to properly frame your images, or for playing back recordings and photos.

Video Resolution: The BP 7.0 Full HD's 3MP camera sensor records high definition video in MOV format at 30 fps onto the microSD card. You can set the resolution to Full HD (1920 x 1080) or HD 720p (1280 x 720). The higher the resolution, the shorter the available recording time on the memory card.

Photo Resolution: You can take still photos (JPEG) with the BP 7.0 Full HD with a resolution of 3.5M (2304 x 1536).

Lens: The BP 7.0 Full HD has a wide-angle lens that gives you a full view of the road. The focus range is 1.5 meters to infinity. The camera has automatic ISO sensitivity and white balance. The video exposure value can be adjusted +/- 1.0EV in increments of 1/3 stop.

Microphone: An integrated microphone records audio inside the vehicle. If desired, the microphone can be turned off so the unit records only video.

Rechargeable Battery: The built-in 300 mAh rechargeable battery is charged when connected to vehicle power through the cigarette lighter adapter. Charging time is approximately 3 hours. Normally, the unit will be plugged into vehicle power as you drive.

Motion Detection: The BP 7.0 Full HD's built-in Motion Detector automatically triggers a new recording to begin when motion is detected. The Motion Detector can be turned on or off in the menu.

Collision Detection: The dash cam has a built-in 3-axis G-sensor, which can detect when a collision or hard braking occurs. When the G-sensor detects an incident, the current recording is automatically saved. This way, a complete record of the moments before, during, and after the event is preserved. The G-sensor's sensitivity can be set to High, Normal, or Low.

Emergency Recording: While the device is recording video, you can enable Emergency Recording by pressing the OK button. It will continuously record video in one file until the memory card storage is full, or the recording is manually stopped. If Collision Detection is enabled, a collision will automatically trigger emergency recording.

Installation: The BP 7.0 Full HD is designed to be mounted on your windshield using the included suction cup mount. The windshield mount allows the camera to be panned and tilted after it has been attached to the windshield. If the unit connected to an ignition-switch powered outlet, the dash cam will turn on and off automatically as you turn the ignition on and off.

HDMI/USB Output: The BP 7.0 Full HD has a Mini HDMI (Type C) output for connecting the device to a TV. In addition, you can connect it to your computer via USB with the included cable.

Viewing Videos and Photos: You can view recorded video and still image files on the dash cam's LCD screen. Three file types can be selected: Video, Emergency, and Picture. You can also remove the microSD card and view the files using a card reader on your computer. Videos and still images are stored in separate folders. When viewing the footage on your computer, the time and date will be superimposed on the images.
